How many black belts do you have at your club?

We have about 5 generally but there is this other guy, he has a black belt but he doesn't stand with the others in line or anything.

Our club has been established for awhile. Upwards of 50 black belts between two locations, at least 30+ of which are still actively training on a regular basis with us. There are classes where there are more black belts than lower belts in the class.

Um, it varies as we're one of about 4 KUGB clubs in the area so quite a few black belts train at whichever they feel like on any given night. On average there's about 6. All adults (no kids at our club).

It's the quality of the performance that's important not the colour of the belt that they wear!

I am not sure the total number, but we have 2 classes per week just for black belts and those soon to be testing for it and there are generally 30-40 black belts that attend each class.

Why do you ask?

it varies on who's training where and when, but we have about 10 on a good day, 3 on a bad!! only 1 junior BB.

Five or six there on average. About twenty were at the last belt the last testing, and about the same number of black belts under 12 or so.

Okay, my bad. It wasn't even spelled out but okay.

Well, I remember doing it =/

Uh yeah, I was just asking.

It varies. Sometimes black belts from our other centres come along to train with us, because the different centres don't all have the same training days.

Typically between six and ten black belts, plus our sifu.

I study with two styles,

One has aprrox. 10, in the other we have 26 dojo's in the state, and i'd estimate around the 50-60 mark. If you include junior blacks there'd be ....about another 20-30.

We've been around for 25 years (our 25 th anniversary this year :D), so we do have a fair few yudansha.

I like to think that we have a great program for keepng and retaining black belts and I think that's why we have a fairly large number of black belts in proportion to the school's size, which is about 45 total.

We have the following:
1 x 5th dan TKD/4th dan Combat Hapkido (school owner)
2 x 3rd dan TKD/3rd dan Combat Hapkido (senior instructors)
1 x 3rd dan ATA TKD
1 x 2nd dan TKD/2nd dan Combat Hapkido
3 x 2nd dan TKD
1 x 1st dan TKD, 2nd dan Combat Hapkido
1 x 1st dan Combat Hapkido

We also have about 4 people who should be ready for 1st dan TKD in the next year and a person going for 1st dan Combat Hapkido in the next month.

We also have a few blackbelts who graduated college and have left the area and we have a couple who are seving active duty in the military. Some of our bblack belts above have come from other styles but have learned our system and tested in (most of them).

Two plus the instructor makes three in hapkido, no black belts in BJJ but two purple belts including the instructor, and a blackbelt visits several times a year but I haven't met him yet.

We have 2. One's our sensei, 3rd dan. The other's another sensei, 1st dan.
We have a lot of brown belts that're moving up into black belt at the moment, but our club doesn't let you go for grading before you're ready.
We also recently had a lot of blackbelts finish training due to starting a family and all that.

At my school, we have at least 200 or more, I think, (we have 55 schools) my dojang has the most with over 20. It's hard to count with so many schools and so many students :D

in our dojo only one-3rd dan instructor
in the system - 6. 2x4th, 1x3rd, 3x1st.
Then the renmei has several in the affiliated clubs, but they didn't do our gradings.

In my guan (mandarin for school) there is one instructor who has 20 years of experience and one assistant instructor who has 3-4 years of experience. There simply are no belts. Although there are examinations.

Our school has been established for about 25 yrs in the same location, 3500-4000 people have enrolled over the years and about 125-150 have passed to 1st Dan. There is probably 50 or so still actively training.

Since sensei opened our club it has turned out 8 black belts......only 4 of them now still train actively that includes himself.

If all goes well in december there will be 3 more joining the ranks.
