I don't know what to say, do you think this (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/ufoguy.html) is real or not?

Very interesting! I wonder if that object is an energy phenomena of some kind or a technological device i.e. is it a craft or something like ball lightning?

This hoax ranks right up their with the letter from the Nigerian widow as one of the greats. A lot of people were getting sucked into this one.
Ramon Watkins sounds like he's running a classic religious scam to me....

I couldn't actually see the video but they are enough remote-control devices out there that he maybe got himself something like that. From a distance you can fool anyone into believing that it could be a UFO.

To be honest, since a UFO is nothing more than an unidentified flying object the ability to summon them at will is nothing special. Weather baloons were my first guess and Kickchick's post seemed to confirm it.

If he is a techno like suggested in the link KickChick provided then Im sure he is more then capable of producing a radio controlled craft or balloon. You don’t need a helper you simply make a release device which will release the balloon automatically on receiving a signal from your pager or mobile. The best way to prove he is a fake would be to jam the signal so the device cant be released.

Yeah, I found one. Radio Remote Controlled Balloon

Don't get me wrong, I think the guy's a fake but.....
They pointed out on the news report that they chose the time, place etc for the demonstration and not the UFO guy. That would kind of make it difficult to use an accomplice who would release a weather balloon.
Glowing balls of light are commonly seen all over the world and have been heavily photographed and recorded. Maybe this guy has found some way of recognising when one is likely to appear?
These "plasma balls" appear to be natural atmospheric phenomenon although, as reported in New Scientist (December 1999), the US military were apparently testing their ability to create such plasma balls by using two laser beams, crossing them at a certain point, thus creating a plasma ball that could be manouevered at will.

However, I really don't think that this guy has access to the kind of laser technology required.
All to be taken with a rather large grain of salt. :Alien:

MWD: Now that you point that out, but even though he didn't chose where or when. Doesn't mean he couldn't have had a second person involved. We don't know how long he was waiting prior to the news crew's arrival. So, this should be taken with a grain of salt like you said.

Absolutely. The simple truth is that we don't have enough data to go on so we end up making assumptions based upon our past experiences and preconceptions.
The truth is out there but it ain't this guy!

Hmm interesting! I must say. For Plasma Balls you need a significant amount of energy to produce them.
Ball lightning is a phenomenon but seen rarely, usually appears a close distance away from a thunder storm.
But very rare to see one not near by a thunder storm.
I believe that he must have something that we are very not aware of. We don't really much understand him, to really prove that if he would be fake or very much real.
There would have to be communication somehow, to let it appear out like that.
Don't forget, the reporters picked the location and the time, etc. So that they thought they would have doubts that they would not likely see them in the day.
It calls for some 2nd thoughts.
A Weather Balloon... uh for something that moves that fast. Yes weather balloons flying here and there. Oh and what's this... a new device to make the weather balloon disappear. Ohh now I get it... This must be a big trick that he has.
A Airplane... An airplane brighter than day? definatly not. Only when it blows up.
A Glare on the lens... I wouldn't think so, newer cameras would have different lenses that wouldn't produce glare, unless if angled.into the sun But you don't need the cameras view to notice what's happening outside, when others could see it.
Plasma Balls... Need significant amount of energy, by lasers or by electricity.
lol. A large grain of salt, mmm the smell of burning...
An illusion? Not likely. I would actually would love to see David Copperfield try to play it out.
People don't want to admit that there is any UFO's. Admit it that you're guilty. :p :Alien: :Alien: :Alien: :Alien: :Alien: :Alien:
The aliens must be offended
We would be if they thought that we weren't existant

Any psychic would probably think that he would be real.
Prophet's, Psychics, Telepathics. You name it. They have their outer limits that i'm sure they can understand, or recieve messages that our out of our commuting range. No need for telephones, or cell phones, or secretly implanted microphones.
I mean give me a break. People can tell whatever they would want. But it's the other person's reality that you are facing, from what he precieves to be true, that he and the others will see.

I'm stumped. From the pictures, it seemed like it was just an orb, no rockets, no propellers. Ball lightning also doens't move like that...
Very weird, indeed. I wonder what the air force base has to say about this all.
