I had planned on going, but my IT band is seriously inflamed and I haven't been able to train for the last two weeks. Looks like it might be another month before I can seriously get back into it. :cry: What sucks is the tournament is just 45 minutes from my house. Bummer man, bummer.

So far I'm planning to do both, Texas Tournament again in March, and World in October.

I won't be doing Texas tournament (I'll just be getting back from Disney World). And World Tournament... undecided. Still a ways away. Ask again in a few months. :)

I don't really know much about the World Tournament. I can sense I won't even be able to go until I reach JKN level. Do many coloured belts compete?

Actually, I'd say the majority of competitors were colored belts, at least at the tournaments I attended.

It's just like the Norwich tournament Martley but a bit bigger, tons of coloured belts.

Am I right in thinking that it isn't hosted at the Astroarena anymore?

It is at the same place sir. It is just called the Reliant Arena now instead of the Astroarena.

You are correct again sir. The Texas Tournaments are being held in Kingwood. It is a few miles north of Houston. It is a smaller venue and appropriate size for the number of participants in the Texas Tournament. Now, hypothectically...If the world chamipionships were to have been held in Houston last year instead of Korea...we would have had to find somewhere else, and on short notice.

Yes ,, another reason to carry a gun, Did anyone notice that there was no looting in Texas. When people carry guns the community is Safer becase the would be "victims" shoot back...and sometimes shoot first :woo: :woo: :woo: :woo:

I have plenty You can borrow one of mine. What do you prefer

Beretta, Glock, or Browning 40 Cal. 12 Ga Shot gun, AR-15, 30.06, 243, 357 Mag, Colt 45 auto. or will a simple S & W 38 revolver be enough.

If i can ever figure out how to post pics Ill show ya'll our solution to looting...

Im sure you need all those guns for self defence :D , i can imagine you walking down the street with all those guns concealed and then being attacked... :woo: :woo: :woo:

I know how. When you're creating a message, there's a button below that says "manage attachments". Click on that, and you can browse your computer for pics. Select the one(s) you want, and upload.

We didn't have any looting, but there was an influx in armed robberies and assault. Most of them instigated by ex-New Orleans, "hardcore", thugs. And most ended with the NewO thug, getting shot or stabbed by the Houstonian.

Rednecks and Houston Thugs all tend to shoot first here >.>

My HPD friend says there are still problems with the N.O. emigrants, but they’re learning ^_^

I plan on going to the world tourni... I just gotta find the cash (and I still need to pay my second Degree, fee)

The only thing I saw in my neighborhood was windfall branches and a few trees.

rank should have no bearing on the way we talk to each other, this is not the millitary. i know there are 3rd 4th and 5th dans on here that out rank me, but i will speak to them the same as i would any belt colour, so should we all. this is a place for free and open disscusions, where everybodys views are valid, and rank is only and indication of someones potential knowledge.

Can the pair of you discuss these personal issues either by PM'ing each other or on a separate thread?

It seems you both have issues that need dealing with away from this forum.

Do you two really need to get drawn into a posting war on here as by doing this things are bound to start getting petty and will show you both in a bad light which I'm sure neither of you will want to happen.

Maybe its just me and that I've not had my coffee yet!
