That's my teacher, Dewain Perry SBN.

The other gentleman, Larry Subia PSBN, is a student of SBN Perry's and also owner of KSW Buda (a small town just south of Austin, Texas).

I've had the pleasure of training with and learning from both men, and I respect them both very highly.

I'm looking forward to getting the issue when it hits the newsstands.

Picked up a copy of the magazine last night at the dojang.

It's a good article. Eight pages, lots of pictures. The "in dojang" pictures with the red floor/carpet? That's my dojang. SBN Perry and PSBN Subia actually wrote the article (so many KSW articles in the past were usually written by Jane Hallender). The article is on circle theory. It doesn't get too deep (can't get too deep in a magazine article), but I certainly found myself thinking about the concepts after reading it. Also learned a few things from the article. What I thought was nice about the article was that it felt different from other KSW articles I've read in magazines. It didn't feel like a fluff piece, or like something I had read before. It felt like something new and refreshing about KSW being shared with the martial arts community at large.

There's a picture in the article in the "demonstrating techniques" section showing PSBN throwing SBN. SBN is doing a hwe juhn, and he told me he's landing on concrete in that picture. Three concrete landings were enough for him during that photoshoot. :D

Last night during my class, I was doing hyung near the office. I hear the phone ring, it's Kuk Sa Nim. He apparently just saw the magazine and was calling SBN Perry about it. I could hear from "this half" of the conversation that KSN was pretty happy about it all. :)

So far, I'd say it's the best article in the issue! The KSW articles always have really good pictures and tons of them. I liked the content and liked seeing some of the various technqiques explained. The breakfalls were really good too!!! What a nice article to promote KSW. Congrats to all involved!
:)

This is what its all about. People from other styles and disciplines being respectful to each other. Its refreshing to find someone from another art praise a style that they don't practice.

Thank you Thomas.

I don't care what art someone studies, in my opinion if someone has the motivation to get off there backside and do any art then they have my respect.

Went to Borders, but they didn't have it! I guess it's off to Barnes & Nobles.

Hmm, same thing here. Borders only had Tai Chi and Kung Fu TMA mags.
