Celebrities Who Study Silat

Hello,

I know we have talked about movies with Silat but what about Celebrities that study or have studied Silat.

I consider an intense 6-week course for a movie like the "Hunted" to qualify as have studied but I don't consider a day or two of technique for a specific fight scene as have studied.

Here are the ones I know of:

Brandon Lee - Dan Inosanto
Lucy Lui - ?
Wesley Snipes - Cliff Stewart, Steven Benitez
Steven Seagal - Dan Inosanto
Tommy Lee Jones - Sayoc Kali Silat
Benicio Del Torro - Sayoc Kali Silat

Anyone know of any other actors, athletes or models who have studied?

He's a big star in the UK, with leading roles in shows like Eastenders & Ultimate Force. Probably a total unknown in the US, unless you watch UK tv on cable.

My answer is, as usual, "Who cares?" In fact, I'll be very unhappy if Silat ever becomes a celebrity thing. You'll get bad schools popping up like mushrooms after the rain.

I think a Grant Mitchel Silat fight in Eastenders would go down a treat. At least it would liven the miserable soap up! More of an Emmerdale man myself ;)
