Hey Guys I'm intrigued to know what everyone thinks makes a KSW Class so good! Personally I really like a sweaty class because I always come out of it feeling I have pushed myself so hard and im proud of myself. I think also to make a good class it's vital to have a quality group of people to help you train and motivate you and who help you get rid of any fears and doubts. I love classes which cover Jump Kicks and loads of them, Forms till you drop, Jump Breakfalls as high as I can go! Grappling (Dr Doberman, You're great to fight with, but remember ur A Game!) Plymetrics for cardio and of course Acrobatics! What sort of things do you guys do in classes as in different quality training? Do you guys have a good group to train with? Sorry not trying to pry just totally interested!

I totally agree! I need to come out of class feeling as if I've achieved something each time.....................whether it's overcoming a fear, pushing myself to extremes, or helping another student. I like a good atmosphere in class - too many large ego's interfere with training, and I suppose for me, each Kuk Sool class is a form of escapism from family/work/health problems!

Ye thats the way I see it to The Doc! Escapism completely away from everything.

It sounds like the things all of you enjoy so much have little to do with KSW and much more to do with the manner in which it is taught. May I be so bold as to say that you are attaching credit to the system when it really belongs to the teacher? I have had, and taught some great classes and I was never taught how to teach by the system. Just a thought. Even more reason for loyality to you instructor. Salute from the heart. The answer is the instructor is what makes KSW classes kick ass,,,, not ksw itself.. does that make sense?

For me Kuk Sool has become a second familly! People I feel I could turn to with any problem (Not that I do) and they would be the ones who would go out of their way to help me.

I train in multiple disceplines but only in KSW do I get the motivation from others when I have nothing left to dig deep and do more.

That leaves you with a feeling of progression and achievement.

Makes sense.

I do like what KSW itself has to offer, and that subject matter and curriculum does make for a "kick ass" class in and of itself. It works for me. I think I'd get bored doing nothing but kicking and punching all day, so for my brain it's nice to have a lot more to think about.

But I must say that yes instructors make a huge difference. I think that's one reason I enjoy things so, because I have great instructors. It's they that make the daily experiences fun and challenging.

i agree instructors make or break a good class, but without the vast skills/knowledge/disaplines available through the art of kuk sool, would those same kick ass classes be as good?
