True I wasn't sure of their rank though I wasn't sure if they had made it to PSBN yet. Also I wasn't using ranks for everyone else either. Its also KJN Big D, PSBN Gi Ma Ja Se, KJN Mister Boards, KJN Hart, KJN Watson, PSBN Airnick,(am in regular contact with most of these no one has complained yet but i'm glad a dbn bought it to my attention, thanks) oh and anyone else's rank i've missed on this post sorry I'll start the push ups now. But then again don't remember you addressing me as SIR either so start yours lol (thats a joke by the way). I tend to not call people i respect (KJN Harmon on this thread being a total exception as i respect that man beyond belief, oh and KSN-Matt has it as his name on here so Max gets it so it doesn't look like i'm playing favourites :D ) by their KSW letters as a pre cursor its cos i respect them as people first so that to me outweighs their rank. But am sorry if its caused offence and thanks for the info will go back and change their ranks for you. :)

(bugger I've promoted Jada now too and it won't let me edit again, see this is why i don't do letters, lol)

Let's do it! I've got anyone who'll step up to the mat. It's all about learning and control. What are the rules? Hopefully no point sparring doctrine. Let's take this where it needs to be...the higher level. How about headquarters?

Yes sir, sorry sir! :) *sets up for pushups* "1-sir, 2-sir, 3-sir..." :)

I'm not particularly offended... just a little protective of the people I train with. KSN gave me my first Kuk Sool sparring lesson, my red stripe, and my 2nd black stripe:

http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37721&highlight=pictures

And I was there for JKN's promotion, seeing as I was about to test again...

So it's very strange to me to see KJN and YKJN Harmon's titles all the time while their daughter's titles are ignored. People who post regularly to the board, that's a little different.

So it's very strange to me to see KJN and YKJN Harmon's titles...

In an attempt to alleviate my ignorance...

What does YKJN stand for? Probably just the "Y" part, as I'm sure KJN is Kwang Jahng Nim. I assume this is in reference to Mrs. Harmon, but don't know what the acronym stands for.

It will be nice to know, as it's always vague to refer to "Master Harmon", which we usually have to follow up with "Mr. Master Harmon" or "Mrs. Master Harmon". ;)

Yeah i understand that, was really having a laugh. I only used KJN Harmon because i had copied it in a quote and just wrote it without thinking. I just find the letters so inpersonal. lol its just me. i really do respect master Barry so much think he is an amazing guy, haven't been lucky enough to meet his wife or daughters yet but everything that i have ever seen about them or involving them just increases my total respect of the family. Not just for their martial arts skill but for the people they are. So thats why i try to distinguish between say Master Barry or Mr Harmon, which to me means i respect the man and his rank, and KJN Roper where i respect his rank in the system i study but do not necessarily hold the same values as him and maybe wouldn't go for a drink or a meal with him and enjoy his company. Does that make sense. I hope so. Sometimes i get it wrong when i write it. Hehe. Please pass on my respects to the entire family :)

Y stands for "Yuh", as in "Yuh Kwan Jang Nim".

It means female. "Yuh Kwan Jang Nim" is a special title for KJN Mrs. Harmon as the first and highest ranking female in Kuk Sool Won. So yes, it is the easy way to distinguish the KJN Harmons.

IIRC from my internet reading on Korean history, the "Yuh" was also used before the word for "King" as the titles of Korean Queens.

I know nothing about Mr. Silva, But I can assure you that CKJN I.J. Suh, in his day, was the wrong guy to #$%k with. I think he was the most impulsive and spontaneous of the family. My guess is that he was very sneaky and relentless. Watching him go at it would be a real treat. Good call AZeitung.
