Hey, I have been trying to practice leg sweeps, but unfortuantley shotokan doesn't teach me them. I learnt some in kickboxing a while ago, just can't remember them. Can anyone give me any tips please?

How are you practicing them? That is, do you workout w/ someone who can take them or are you ghosting them?

Get on the net and look up some judo sights, try to understand the concepts, then look up some brazilian jiu jitsu sights to learn some good ground fighting techniques. This and whatever you are doing now will make for a very complete fighting style

Theres so many different leg sweeps, like front sweep, back sweep, and just a plain simple trip sweep is still consider sweep. Tell me which one your trying to get, and i'll see what I can help you on.

Your basic leg sweep is a 2 or 3 point of contact throw. You normally disrupt the upper bodies balance and then sweep the leg.
If you have a local Judo club go along for a few lessons and ask about O soto gari, Ko soto gari, O uchi gari and Uchi mata.
Good luck.
