Hi, just thought id have a look around at what people wear nowdays. I like my shorts, they are my own, nobody elses :D. I see them as a way of "personalising" yourself. Feel free to post your shorts

WoooEEEE,
I bet you look the Bees knees in them.
Mine are just boring plain Black ones, functional for training.
I have a ridiculpous flashy pair that a friend bought me for a laugh, but i've never worn them, as they look like something
Elton John would use for Muay Thai (Like a Candle in the wind-parp).

I would love to see Elton John fight muay thai :D
What does the writing on the muay thai shorts say anyway? Muay Thai?

Im not sure, ask Big K (Khun Kao) i think he can read Thai. I think it says "Champion". In thailand, Shark is an energy drink (like lukozade), so it must say "eneregy" or something like that. Its suppsoed to be quite a "strong" drink so dont tak too much of it!

I find that high cut shorts rock!!!! Why do you want short-cut ones. The standard cut makes you look more muscular and larger;Just try to wear a short on your hips. You'll look so.. tall and skinnier.Well, this is for me as I'm tall and thin.

yeppers, thats me.
That pic was taken back in 1994 in Pennsylvania. I was fighting for an amateur title (I lost the decision). Also fighting on the same card were Bunkerd Fairtex and Sakasem Kanthavong (sp?).
My shorts say:
"KHUN KAO" on the waistband
"SURIYASAK" across the front
"BROOKS" on the left leg
"MILLER" on the right leg
I've got all kinds of custom shorts, but I don't have pics of them all. Got some really cool ones, like the ones my instructor had made for me when I won my title which say (all in Thai):
"BROOKS MILLER" on the waistband
"MUAY THAI CHAMP" across the front
Custom shorts are the way to go. 98% of all Muay Thai shorts just say "MUAY THAI" in Thai letters across the front. That is so BORING!!!
For some other cool custom shorts, go to http://www.elbowko.com and check out the link for TEAM SURIYASAK. There are lots of pictures of the custom shorts that Master K (my instructor) has had made for his students and fight team. They are DOPE!!!!!

Cool, i didnt realsie you used to be an active fighter. Cometing in the same event as any of the fairtex boys is prestigious in itself. Thanks for the link anyway, and i had a look at the actual thai writing on the shorts, its a very stylish art of writing.

Assassin, I think you can order custom shorts from Al's Gym (http://www.mightyoak.co.uk/alsgym/index.htm) . If I remember correctly they wait until they have a bunch of custom designs together and then order them from Thailand. It therefore pretty much depends where you fall on the ordering cycle as to when you get them.
In terms of non-custom kit they've always delivered really fast.

Well, I don't know how "Prestigious" it was to have fought on the same card as them, but it is something I'll always remember. I also fought on the same card as Saeksan Janjira. I won my East Coast Amateur Title (ISMTA) that evening.... Another great, great memory!
