thanks for all the input. i would like to bother some one else out there with another question. I've chosen hapkido as something that i would truly like to pursue but i have some doubts about my ability to do so. I have just fully recovered from a severe injury and unfortunately with such a long period of inactivity and being stuffed with steroids to prevent muscle atrophy I am now 5'11" and weigh almost three hundred pounds and would like some opinions as to whether or not it would be feasible for me to start at this time.
I have reserarched hapkido and everyone i talk to and everything i read says that hapkido is good for all ages and sizes of people but i guess i am just looking for a little re-assurance. I have come across alot of martial arts studios that would tell you anything just to get you in the door and i don't want to fall into that same trap. thanks in advance for any tips or opinions on this.
