I was just curious how many (MA) out there in pc land have been in a "REAL" fight?(other then tournaments) i was just curious what style you used and how it did or didnt work for you, thank you

The opportunity has presented itself quite few times. Although they have never arisen to full fight. Fortunatly the situations cooled down before they got to that stage.

Opposition and I just walk away, problem solved. No-one gets hurt... except maybe a little pride of both of us, but still, I believe respect is granted. Which is the best thing to do, really.

Confronted a shop lifter in a retail electronics store who was in too big of a hurry to leave and fell down due to a forward foot sweep and was persuaded that he'd be safer staying there until the authorities arrived.

The only other time was to escort an overly angry person out of where i was working at the time.

In thirty years those are the only two time that I even came close to using MA in a fight. At some point it becomes clear that you've been training without having to say so, after that most people cool down quick.

Fights in the millitary don't count, right? :D

Nope never....Not at all. Well okay once in the sixth grade, but I hadn't actually started MA training yet. That didn't stop me from kicking ass though:D

I have been in a few but i hate them. I have had the chance to be in many many fights but i dont get into them. Its not my thing. I dont like them and it doesnt help anything. Im strong enough in mind and self control to know that i dont have to be strong in body to win a fight.

That's it. If you can stop the fight from happening then you've won it anyway. The other party just may not see it that way....
