Another good site - anyone else seen this before? Has anyone here ever attended a class or joined?
Opinions and thoughts please :)
I think reality training makes sense...even if it isn't actually 'real'.

Nope ... never seen that one before. It looks like the same thing (or similar vein, anyway) as Peyton Quinn's workshops (I can't remember what he calls his).
However, another site I would recommend in this vein is: http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com
This guy, Marc MacYoung, know his stuff. I've met him and trained with him a couple of times. He's a good guy and very down to earth (he can be a little abrasive at times because he doesn't hesitate to open his mouth and say what's on his mind ... but that's not necessarily a bad thing :-)
As a martial artist, he's good ... but, IMHO, nothing exceptional. What makes him special (aside from his "short bus" stories ... you non-Yanks may not get that reference ;-) is that he grew up in a rough area and has been involved in some really bad situations. He has lived and breathed urban violence ... and survived. Now he's taken all those negative expreriences in his life and turned them around to use them positively and teach others to avoid these situations ... or, failing avoidance, to at least have some idea of what to expect so they can be prepared (or as well prepared as possible) for it.

LOL ... here in America (at least in the places I'm familiar with) a lot of the "special education" kids are bussed to school on a short yellow bus. I'm not sure why this is ... but it is.
My comment about Marc riding the "short bus" was a joke that I'm sure (I hope) he would get a kick out of if he were to read it :-)

Everyone I've talked to who has played with the Bill Kipp Fast Defense training has had a great time and has been pleased with this training.
Why not how often do you get to throw full power shots while in the middle of the cemical coctail.
The only other way to get these experiences are to go live. Many times that means you might end up in jail or in hole in the ground. Far better to get a taste of this kind of reality.:) in a more controled setting:D.
The folowing link has some photo's and feed back. This is not spam ,I just don't have the skills to post a direct link.

Well ... not the *only* way ... Peyton Quinn runs a setup similar to what this Fast Defense looks like ... it's called RMCAT (Rocky Mountain Combat Application Training).
I'm not sure which came first, RMCAT or First Defense ... and maybe they were developed separately.
Not having ever been to either one I can't make any claims about which might be better ... if either.
Just wanted to give props where they're due :-)
