I figure (from watching the anime) that he's a combination of Hakkyokusaken (taught by Master Tung) and streetfighting (whatever style that is). Actualy I think the "streetfighting" style he has is a mongrel style he learned as a kid from by taking techniques from difforent MA (Boxing, Karate, Tae kwan do etc.).

Anyway, what do you guys think? he really has me stumped....

Who am I?

I think I agree, but what style is his brother Andy.

I think Andy is a Karate fighter. I remember Joe saying something about Andy being one of the greatest Koppoken (ancient Japanese Karate technique) fighters he's ever faced. Still, he was never as cool as Terry! I wonder what the hell Mai saw in him, though....

Hope my local arcade gets SNK Vs. Capcom Chaos soon. Can't wait to slaughter everyone with Geese:D !

Terry is supposed to be mixed i think, as he went around learning different techniques (by getting beat up by them).

Andy is a bit strange, because he is refered to as a karateka but he seems to be more designed as a traditional kung fu style.

I think what SNK was trying to do was to have 2 brothers to be opposites in styles.
Terry in very modern kind of street - clothing, very smash mouth moves a bit unorthodox (rising tackle, power dunk)
Andy is however very traditional, wearing oriental style clothing, moves are 'chi' based if you will.

The two of them is extremely similar to Art of Fightings Robert and Ryo.

Andy learned from Mai's grandfather. She knows ninjutsu and so does Andy. Though his could be a modified version but who knows.
Terry is totally street. Kind of like Jeet Kune Do in a way. You know, only use what works.
He and Andy were guided, not taught, by Master Tung. In the first movie it was all about whom developed the best physical and spiritual attitude and he'd teach one of them his finishing move. That is the only move Terry knows that is NOT of his style.

My freind and I were playing 'Cap. vs. snk 2' and had our butts handed to us by Terry. So after carefull studying and hours of brainstorming, we came to the conclusion that Terry is a mix between
1) Random hand throwing style the six year old nieboring brat uses, and
2) Butt kickin, shotgun weilding, liquir drinkin, drunk truker style that everyone loves.(minus the shotgun) :woo:

Needless to say this makes a good combination.
But im a CAPCOM fan myself so i don't necesaraly care.

Not to correct you guys but... Andy and Terry are not real brothers they were adopted by Jeff Bogard who learned the same fighting style as Geese Howard. And both (andy and terry) are listed as Jeff Bogard style according to SNK (too bad playmore took over  ) but Terry Bogard is listed as Jeff bogard style & street fighting.

Actually in the Japaense Mooks (game books) Terry Does martial arts (Japanese think there is an american fighting system called martial arts, they dont realize it is a translation of budo) and Andy does koppo jutsu (The way of the bone often translated as bone breaking) http://www9.big.or.jp/~koppo/ is a modern koppo school

there's a little bit of koppo jutsu in almost every form of karate & a few other forms.wether it's an actual fighting style or not i'm not sure but i think for the most part it's just an application with hit locations, blocks, entanglements, ect. pretty much everytime you attack a joint with the intention of breaking someones bones is considered koppo jutsu. I guess it could be a fighting style. But that's the first koppo jutsu school i've ever heard of.

How old were these game books? are they official?
cuz SNK has listed what i stated above on their official website. But there is a few KOF fighters that are listed as just "martial arts" i guess this means something like self taught or something along those lines.

Mooks are official book (In Japan) that the companies put out that have complete character histories. The styles, histories etc in English are often incorrect, or badly translated. The Bujinkan has 3 traditions of Koppojutsu, Koto Ryu, Gikan Ryu and Guokushin Ryu.

As far as terry style is concerned while i don't know....I made and interestin observation one day while playing xenogears(a great rpg done by square soft), feis gear weltal use a stance at least similar if not the same as the stance terry uses in the movies.....not sure if this is just some made up stance that looks cool or if it belongs to an actual style but i'm looking into it.
