I read someware that the Q&A section is improved and the layout is better but the actual content is the same.

Saying that I would want the latest edition anyway.

No difference really in the two aside from what rigsville said. If you cannot locate 4 .. earlier editions are just as good.

Use the link rigsville provided to purchase online or you can fax order form to them.

I love this book it's helped out my flexability tramendously in just one month. but you have to be serious about it, and not over do flexability training.

I went to Barnes and Nobles and then to Borders, and couldn't find it. So I ordered "Power High Kicks with No Warm-up!!!111oneoneone", since they actually show you how to do the stretches properly instead of just writing about them. (I'm really dense, and can't figure things like that out :()

Well I recieved 'stretching scientifically' last week.
Kind of a mixed bag of cookies i feel.
In my oppinion:
The background + reasoning behind stretching is really good, and has given me a pretty clear idea of how stretching works.
The examples of work-outs for different purposes (tkd/rowing/gymnastics/etc.) are really usefull for gauging how much/often you should be doing, and of what type.

However: the stretches are each shown in 2 pictures (usually one of him standing ready to stretch, and one in the full stretch) which makes it awkward to learn new stretches soley from the book, but if you've done them before it's helpfull to see the end results.
I've yet to read the q+a section which takes up almost 1/3 the book.

I think it's a book that's good to have read, and to be able to reference. But it's so concise and well explained that it hardly seems worth hanging onto. I think it might do a round of my friends, when it comes back to me i'll probably leaf through it sometimes, but it's hardly a reference book.

Really usefull for explaining how stretching works, good for explaining what stretches are for what, not-so-good for learning new stretches i feel. but you only need to have it for a week or so to pick out the bulk of it. incredibly well explained.

Just thought i'de mention it.

The video came yesterday, so I watched it, and I'm dissapointed. They show you how a proper kick is supposed to look like, and that's about it. I already know that. What I want to know is how to get it to look like that. They don't give you many stretching tips or anything. Just the guy's warm-up routine, and that's it basically. :(

This book is so difficult to get in the UK, Amazon are out of stock again. I'll try getting Borders to order it for me in store, unless anybody knows of anywhere else that holds it in stock (I'm waiting for a reply back from www.martial-arts-fitness.com to see what edition they have though).

i couldn't seem to find it online anywhere, but if you check out soem of teh links posted earlier i'm sure there is some place in teh uk that sells it mail order ( i.e u have to post order form) which is just barbaric!

when i eventually go it i had to get it from their used+new section(http://www.amazon.co.uk)
coudn't figure out why it was so expensive.
bought it in a fit of desperation.
when it arrived i realised why it was so expensive.
express air mail form america... yeek!!!

maybe you have more patience than i do, but that's the route i took. they don't have it any more.

good luck.
