How about a section on the site where we can discuss equipment like pads uniforms weapons and the like we could get some reviews on stuff and get peoples opinions on what they like dislike

Sounds feasible as long as it didn't turn into an ad-fest for those registering and posting ads with no intention of becoming a regular contributor to MAP ( A pet peeve of mine if you hadn't noticed LOL!)

Somthing I would like to know is where can I buy the dense rubber foam that they use to fill pads / shields? I want to wind some around the top my a Wing Chun Dummy.

What do others put on the top of their dummies [I dont want to put a wall bag there as fixing it means nailing into the dummy]

Try camping mat... I use it on my Slam Man so I can strike on areas without padding, plus it means I don't need to wear gloves to practice.

Thanks for that suggestion - I didnt think about that - I imagine I can tie it with elastic as it will hold it in place with no raised area to scrape my hands like rope would

Sounds like a good suggestion. But Yoda's right (as always) that as long as it doesn't turn into an-fest. Howzabout, at any sign of someone proomoting their biz, without paying an appropriate fee to MAP, that we just delete their posts? People will learn after a few deletions. Howver, say they were willing to donate 10 or 15 dollars or quid or whatever, they would be allowed to post advertising their stuff. Just a thought.

I would be really useful I must admit to have an area like this. And possibly an area to discuss suppliers good and bad. I have recently had a really bad experiance with one supplier and would have liked an area where I can warn people about them.

I was actually coming to this area for the suggestion of the same type of forum. It would require a fairly active moderator to keep blatant advertiser from just using the site though. Maybe make a rule of not allowing hyperlinks in here, don't know if that would work, but worth a try. Anyways, I am currently looking at buying a wave master or the equivalent. It is not feasible to hang a bag from the ceiling nor to have a hanging independent bag system, so a wave master type of product will do fine. I am stuck between two the original wave master which has a larger base then the century (I think) product, but the century product has an accordion neck on it that I believe will help absorb and keep me from knocking it over so often. Anyone who has any experience with these please let me know.
