I'm a writer, working on an article for Kids On Wheels (http://www.kidsonwheels.us), a magazine for wheelchair-using kids.

I'm doing a story on martial arts for wheeling kids. I have found some programs for people with disabilities, but they are mostly for ambulatory people - our focus is entirely on wheelers.

I'm looking for MA instructors and/or students who use wheelchairs. If anyone knows of any, or could point me in a direction to try, I'd be most appreciative. They should be in the US or Canada, where most of our readers live.

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

Here's a neat site to check out:
www.defenseability.com

Their video library
www.defenseability.com/video.htm

And a specific set of videos
www.defenseability.com/IDSAVS1.htm

Might be worth the time to contact them.... I don't know them personally but they are an affilliate of the ICHF (Combat Hapkido) with which I have had stellar success in their programs and support.

Thanks Thomas! I've been trying to contact those folks for days now.
