It was a Great pleasure meeting some of the people who Post, and Read, on this board.
It would have been nice to have met some more people but I am sure the bad weather played a part in keeping people away.
Master Bob,Master Huff passed on your Hello to Thomas and I,Thank You,lol.
The seminar had a Great turnout, given the bad weather,34 people for a 3 Hour seminar is not too shabby.
We trained in ways to make balance displacement and Pressure points assist us in upsetting/softening our opponent to get better compliance,(from an unwilling opponent),in the application of our intended method of disposing of the opponent.
It was a Great seminar for beginners to advanced,GMP was his normal informative yet funny self and a Great time was had by all.
Good Luck to those taking the IPDTI course.
Thanks to Brian for having the seminar at his new school and much luck with it in the future.

This was my first CH seminar, and the only thing I could think of was "WOW!".
GM P is very knowledgable and entertaining. The techniques taught was
simple and straight to the point. Like GM P said " nothing fancy, just effective". And since no one wore rank belts, people wasn't focusing on rank techniques that was taught. Everyone was very friendly as well as helpful. No macho attitudes that you tend to find at some martial arts seminars. Our host Brian, has a beautiful new dojang and I wish him all the best.
I would also like to think Master Medina for driving us out to the seminar. It was a long drive and he drove both ways after having a long day himself. And it was a big pleasure to finally meet Thomas and Master Huff. They had played a little joke on me and had some fun at my expense, but it was all in good fun. Two great men I hope to have the pleasure of meeting and training with in the near future.

I had a great time at the clinic (and will do a write up later in my journal as well, although JimH covered everything really well) and also a great time at the IPDTI training (write up will follow).
I also received a "nice" message from Master Ingersoll, and the bruising has gone down already.
For me it was great meeting MAP members FrankH, Shihan, and Jim H in person and seeing them on the mat working. I never realized how small I am compared to some of these guys! :D I'll put a photo up later so you can see what we mean by "Combat Hapkido Beef"! I also got to meet Dr.Syn over the weekend!
Overall a great time and I wish Brian McCann all the best in the wrold for his new beautiful school!
-Good training!

Can't wait to read the write up and see some pics taken at the seminar !
Yes unfortunately the weather this last week has been less than desirable.... ducks like it! ;)
Good to see MAP members being able to meet and take part in seminars in their area.
Be sure to post your next seminar in Event Promotion forum so that other MAP can take advantage of training with you!

Why is it that Mother Nature likes to throw a wrench in everybody's plan?
I'm glad those who made it had a wonderful time. for our west coast and Midwest MAP'ers, There will be a Combat Hapkido Seminar with GM P at master Bob Ingersoll's school in Seaside Ca. this weekend. Next weekend, (Oct 28), there will be one with GM P and Bill Wallace in Omaha Ne. So everyone can get in on the act. Good times will be had by all!

The Oct 22 Combat Hapkido seminar in Seaside, Ca will be a double impact seminar with both GM P and Master Julius Melegrito (stick and knife).
Hey mixmastersenior, my son (Combat Hapkido Brown Belt) will be at the Omaha seminar. Be sure to sting him for me. (Same last name).

Yes, Uncle Bill is amazing...One of my dreams is to use him on an undercover assignment..Imagine the surprise some little "gang banger" would get if they grabbed him thinking he's just another skinny retired senior citizen..Thoughts like that make me smile....
