Well, from my vast experience (a whole 2 classes while traveling for work ;) of course, I'm being sarcastic with the word "vast" ) I can tell you that they do use attacks and throws.
I would guess that you can find a lot more detailed info around the web.

Until Kurohana sees the thread. I've taken a handfull of classes but am far from having serious knowledge on the system... What I have done covered all types of fighting though.

I would highly suggest joining the Bujinkan. But of course I am biased :)
To answer your questions, yes we use throws. And kicks and punches and grappling and anything else it takes to win. We train with various weapons, the most common being the knife, hanbo, short chain and jo. Also throwing blades, shuriken, bo-shuriken. BUT, I will have to point out that your instructor may approach his teaching differently from mine. You may or may not be introduced to all that I have just stated in the beginning or even a year from now. The best I can suggest is give him a call and ask to attend a class or 3 to see how you like it. Most instructors have no problem with that. In the end, it will be you who decides if the Bujinkan and their way of teaching and training is for you or not. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Sure, I think that would be fine. However, having said that, your instructors might feel differently about it. Plus, you would have to "un-learn" ways of moving. One difference between Budo Taijutsu and most (not all, I don't have experience in all martial arts) other arts is that in BT the techniques are taught to fit the way YOU move, body shape, size, physical limitations.. most other arts teach you to move a set way, their way. Foot exactly here, hand held exactly here etc..
I had to un-learn what I was taught in TKD and TSD when I first started in Taijutsu. May be different for you. I say go for and see what you can learn.
