What do you think this will bring about. Less attacks in that area, or more attacks? Do you think they have gotten one step closer to peace, or did they back away from it already? And what do ya'll think is going on in saddams head right now?
I think this will only make things worse. Tho' they maybe gon' We are far away from peace, and don't look like we'll be getting there any sooner.....no matter how much people they take off the "most wanted" list or how much "bad" regimes they take down. It's really sad, but those are just signs that we are in the last days of earths history as we know it, just look around at whats going all over the world today. I only pray for all my family memebers, and close friends I have fighting in this war, that will never be over. As for what's going on in saddams head:confused:

More attacks. I think the US were stupid to think this would end or slow down the attacks. It will just make them more enraged.

Just another Isreal. It'll be years or maybe generations before the dust settles on this one.

It's actually quite a different situation from israel. For one thing, the population dynamics of the area have stayed the same. There is no 'native' force on the side of the americans. Also, I don't think that Uday and Qusay have anything to do with the resistance in Iraq. Frankly, I don't have a lot of sympathy for that pair of b astards. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Errant, I think you're right about the little Saddamites not having anything to do with the resistance. In fact I don't imagine that Saddam has too much impact on the resistance against Uncle Sam. Saddam was not a beloved leader of the people, I think the iraqi are now fighting for independence to run their own country, not to reinstate the old dictator, but it is of course better PR for America to say that all the resistance is because of Saddams loyalists and ungodly Islamic Zealots.

I also don't think saddamm or his sons have any connection to what's going on in Iraq right now. His own country hated him so why would they want him back? Of course politicians need someone to blame though... Of course we should put the blame where it deserves to be, on the heads of the people carrying out attacks on the US troops. Hopefully the heads of those people won't be on their own shoulders for too much longer...

Weapons that was an excuse. And now him sending troops to Libera yeah smooth, moron. he hasnt even finished this war and is trying to get us invloved in another. I cant wait until his term is up. Cause nobody would vote for him again. As far as Saddams son it good they caught them. Now he need to get Saddam and withdraw the Marines from Libera(or was it Libya either way Its in Africa) and ill be happy

A roport that came out has said also that Iraq had no links to Alquidea (how ever you spell that group of terriosts)
When all before, that was also a nother reason for going to war.
because it was said that he had weapons of mass destruction and that he could give them to terriost groups like Alquidea whom he had links with......and now a report comes out that says there were no links..........
oh oh:(

How do you suppose Newsweek got this information?
Uday Hussein had all the essentials of combat with him: clean underwear, Viagra, $100 million, and one condom. (http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/1687.htm)

I've found alot of interesting stuff at this site: http://www.strategypage.com/fyeo/qndguide/default.asp?target=Iraq
Tends to be more indepth than the sanitized stuff on CNN or other mainstream sites.
Personally, I think the deaths will both help and hurt. Help in the sence that some on the shelfers will decide its not worth fighting, and hurt as others will see them as martyrs and fight harder.
Unfortunately, the public whines at each KIA. Sorry folks, war sucks, and losses happen. I hate hearing about each casulty as I've got friends there, but lets be honest...it could have been much much worse.
During WW2, the "Battle of the Bulge" lasted about 40 days. Over 81,000 American casualties, including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed. More recently, the Falkland Islands War in 1982 the UK suffered 255 KIA.
War is hell, and people die. My hope is that as few as possible on all sides suffer, and it is over soon.
peace.
