Hey does any of you guys know the Kuk Sool Fan Hyung? I remember when I started Kuk Sool in the late 80's Master Sung Jin used to do this Hyung with the fan. I was just wondering if any of the schools out there were teaching it. When I went to Korea I remember master White telling me there were 5 hyungs for each weapon. I'm not not sure if that's true or not just wondering if anyone knows any or have seen any other hyungs in Kuk sool. I really like to watch Master Sung Jin do that new sword form!!

I have not seen the fan hyung. At the 2003 tournament in Houston I saw both Masters Harmon do a "swan type" form (I cannot remember the Korean name) and it was very cool. Very fluid as you might expect (and rather long). I also got to see Master Sung Jin Suh perform a Hyung that must have contained hundreds of fast strikes. The strikes never seemed to stop...as he moved around in his form. I don't recall the name of it either as I was just watching a very talented MArtist do his thing.

Are you referring to white crane over cloud (I don't know the korean name either)?

Yep that's the one. KSWDragon posted a site on another thread that had some good videos. One of them was a 7th Dahn (Master Moon) doing that form. Here's a link to the page it's on http://www.kswcbl.co.uk/videos2.htm

I remember. *THAT* was amazing. Do you remember the sword / short sword sparring? That was also cool.
