Jujitsu is not a competition style. It is not like TKD where you have tournaments and stuff. Also most of the Jujitsu techniques are very easy to perform and need very little body strength.
I would recommend researching more on the art and go and watch a class.

As with anything you have to put your heart into it or else your results will be very poor. You have to just consistently fight as well as you can, and not care about the result of the fight. It's a matter of perseverance and effort.
Don't fight with anger. It's not good for your opponent, it's not good for yourself. Just fight with a passion for grappling.

Jujitsu was purely a combative art, it was solely made for the battlefield for survival purposes! judo, karate-do, tkd, are martial art, self defense, that has been modified for "do" purposes. What my shihan taught me was, you don't learn jujitsu to learn how to fight, you learn jujitsu to learn how to WIN.
the concept of jujitsu, or any martial arts for that matter is not about fighting with flurred emotions (ie. with anger). it's about defending yourself when need be and coming out of it alive.
When such situation does arise you have to be calm for one, breathe normaly, keep your mind clear, like water (mizu no kokoro) judge your Ma-i (distance), be in high alert do not watch their eyes because eyes can be deceiving, watch their chest area for any movement (all movements can be seen from the chest area) and use periphiral vision for any other oncoming attackers, and seize the moment of the attack (sen no sen), you can't hesitate for a second or you'll probably end up the one getting hurt...this level of mentality should be a goal for all martial artists alike. Whether you've just started or a veteran.
