http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hapkido
Hapkido: "way of coordinating power." A Korean martial art characterized by kicking without retraction and composed of three primary skills: nonresistance when meeting force, circular motion to countering and attacking, and the water principle - total penetration of an enemy's defenses.

I'm sure some Hapkido practitioners will advise later, but do a Google search and a forum search and check out your local library. Perhaps see some classes too :)

I would like to help.
Hapkido is strong on self defence, rather then Karate, or Muay Thai which worry about sport more.
Hapkido has breakouts, falling techniques, kicks, punches/other strikes, throwing, pressure points, and joint locks.
They also go for the critical points on the human body.
Like stomach, sides, throats, eyes, head, groin, shins, knees, ect.
It's a great art, you should try it.
