Half a Spanner-curried

It had been deep fried and spiced and was right in there with the rest of my dinner.

I don't need Iron supplements that much...

I went to a restraunt and order my drink and when i got there was ants floating in it. Not like 1 or 2 ants but like 50+ ants. It was gross, but i guess that still isnt as bad as the rat in the chilli.

Weirdest thing I've found in food? Cat hair in a curry from the local takeaway.

A frog! I found a live ladybug in my salad once, but I'd rather find a live ladybug than a dead frog!

An abomination. (I think it's some kinda fungus invented so people can feel good about themselves. Like magic mushrooms only non hallucinogenic.)

Damn straight.

Strangest thing I've found in my food? Probably an actual bone running across the inside of a chicken nugget, I think it might have been a rib.

In the university cafeteria, I found twigs in the spaghetti once. I realize that we need fiber in our diet, but I think that's going too far! And flies in the milk and sponges in the bug juice were entirely superfluous!

What kind of sick monster would put leaves next to a steak?

This kind of behaviour is abhorent and possible against the Geneva Convention. I am sickened, absolutely sickened. Now if they had baconed up that steak it would have been all good.

Actually I just remembered. This one time in Hong Kong I was in one of them food court style eateries getting some eats in. Anyway, there I was happily munching away on my food, when I noticed the head of a cockroach staring up at me from my dish. The rest of it was probably swilling about in my belly.

I went straight back to the vendor behind the counter and pointed at the head. His answer? He offered to give me another plate of food!!!!!!!

Incredible.

Having said all that, the cockroach noodles was still superior to the airline food I had to suffer on the way home. :p

Don't return it, you might offend them

Probably explains why there's a shortage of cats in your area. :(

I guess I have been lucky, I have never had anything gross in my food. The worst thing I have found is a plastic bag in my food. It was a chain restaurant and apparently everything (corn in this case) is pre-portioned in indidvidual baggies. They are supposed to heat it and then put on your plat sans baggies. Well someone slipped up and I had this nice little steaming baggy of corn on my plate. Not gross, just weird.

Oh, and once a restaurant gave me seafood sauce with my cheesecake instead of strawberry sauce. Did you know if you combine the two the cheesecake does a strange curdling thing on the way down and causes a huge barf reflex to happen? My hubby figures I should have hurled and not fought to keep it down - then everyone around us as well as us would have gotten a free meal! :p

Could you explain what a "Spanner" is for unknowing American cousin here?

My girlfriend baked cookies for me once and as I was munching one while helping her clean up the kitchen, I noticed bugs squirming in the bag of flour. Gag me! I wonder how SHE could have missed that little detail.

Strangest thing I've ever found in my food was a razor blade!!!
My family and I were eating at the Texas Roadhouse and I ordered a salad, and one of the lettuce slicing blades broke off the machine and I ended up chewing on a razor blade!
But it wasn't all bad we got a $50 dinner free!:D
