I was talking to an HKD guy and a TKD guy at my school yesterday. We were talking about a bunch of stuff. And then it came up about our Master and our Grandmaster.

And they told me that my Master before he came to the US, that he taught soldiers hand to hand combat in the South Korean Army.

Now I think that is just cool.

Anyway...fact is that a large amount of Masters, Grandmasters, whatever...have trained a small group of soldiers or police or special forces or...someone. And a lot of those who haven't claim to. So...yes, it's interesting, but it's not particularly out of the ordinary.

...fact of the day: All members of the Korean military are black belts in Tae Kwon Do. Even without much training in it.

I understand your enthusiasm when it comes to your instructors, and the art. However, like the others have mentioned. Alot of masters/grandmasters have trained military in Korea. Mine did to. and still does every day at Osan Airforce base. So it is neat and all, but your grandmaster is one of many. On that note. I do have to agree with others when it comes to your post. You make way too many post on things that have no purpose. I know you started your post on your testing, but it has been going on for too long IMO. Are you going to give us updates every week until you reach 1st Dan? that would get really old to the other members here. I don't mean to sound rude, but maybe if you were to make post that people could actually contribute to, it might make a difference in people's attitudes towards your post. Take care.

If you want to let us know how you did on your test, tell us and I'll congratulate you ever so politely. If you have a legityimate question, people will answer it.

But you haven't figured out that these pointless threads aren't winning you any friends. They're just using up bandwith. These are what journal entries are for.
