The next time you get ready to leave the house and run to the market. The next time your wife (insert significant other, children, parents etc...) goes out... tell them you love them. Especially if things have not been so great the less day or hour or 15 minutes. Tell them you love them. Life is unpredictable and it is entirely possible that something could happen to either one of you in the next 5 minutes. If it should be you, what would you rather your last words have been? "I love you" or "You'd better have dinner ready when I get home" or "Yeah?! Well, you too!!". I'd rather they remember them saying that I loved them.

Stick around another 15 years and you might begin to learn what it is.

... if he's lucky that is!!

very nice thought for the day Kurohana!

Another simple addition to that is when your partner leaves you, donīt forget to say goodbye. Itīs easy to get into the habit of walking out the door, but that last minute reminder that you do care will often carry subconsciously through the day. Give that last smile and kiss before the other parts of life take over.

and for the married couples..... this one I live by!
Compliment your mate often. Tell them all the things you love and appreciate about them. Itīs important for them to hear them from YOU...!!!

All these are wonderful things to say and do in our daily lives. I guess that's what is most important, that we do it in our daily live so that it no longer becomes something we have to think about doing, but is something we do. At the same time, don't get complacent about it and take it for granted. Life is very unpredicitable. You could go your whole day with nary a problem, then get hit by a car or shot in the next 10 seconds. And that's it. Your life is over and every one who knew you, their lives are changed forever. I feel that one should try to make a positive impact on those you touch in your time here. Those close to you, but the casual stranger is just as important, if not more so. A small act of kindness and love can send ripples for years to come.

Just something to think about. I get in these moods on occasion.

Good thread Kurohana, sometimes people need reminding of basic stuff like this, because when you over look it, you will regret it. A few years ago a friend of mine was ill, although I had no idea how ill at the time, I thought he was going to pull through OK. The last time I spoke to him, I was in a bad mood, we had a fight and I called him some things I wish I hadn't and left. He died a few days later, and there's so many things I can think of now I wish I could have said to him, but I didn't, even if it was something simple. Now I try to tell people I care in my own way everyday.

I think a lot of the time we take life for granted, in the same way we take our possessions, our houses, and our cars for granted. We never think about what would happen if they weren't there, or be grateful that we have them, we just use them without thinking about it.
