dit da jow, research it here and look over at ancient-way.com to make your own.

if you do not have access to this...
1. first day apply heat, if not...
2. use ice, keep it iced.
3. go to doctor to have it set

do not wait to order dit da jow for a week lol, get it looked at now.

Defiantly go to the doctor and have it put in plaster cast. This will mean you can't move it and it can’t be knocked, this means the bones wont be interrupted during there healing prose’s. The main problem with it not being set is that when it is healing it is very sensitive to braking, so even a very small about of pressure could re-brake it. Go to the doctor!

OR, you could eat two chocolate-chip cookies and call us in the morning!

Seriously, need to take care of it the only right way. A doctor visit is in store...

Cf. my post "TCM and Orthopedics" in this forum (Traditional Healing). In the review mentioned I point out that Tom's book outlines several strategies for treating finger injuries.

Best,

In severe cases where there is no stability due to constant movement of the break, it can cause a "non-union" of the break. Ie, the bones just dont rejoin each other. This is a bad place to be. I havent seen many ... actually any, plaster casts for the finger, but splinting is pretty normal with a standard finger split. Usually they are metal and in a "U" shape.

PS, you might want to rethink the heat then ice. This is both contrary to main stream TCM and also contrary to western medicines RICE theory which both say, Ice and then Heat.

Go see doctor, have it splinted to remain stable and to protect against further damage, don't mess with it until it heals.

ok, the americans will put that finger in a cast for awhile i dont know if they put medicine or not. but i know a chinese way called not sure if this is prononced "ti da" over there if its not in the right position they snap it back but i think yours is just broken in half. so you go there theyll wrap it in medicine and then wrap somthing around it and the medicine will speed up the process more then just a cast.but i dont know for sure if they offer the hard cast i think theyll just wrap it in those first aid cloths... today is the 12th if youv gone and have it treated already then i dont know u have to thnk about it

Hey, thanks for the replies, but all I did was tape my fingers together and it healed in three weeks with a little help from a very effective Shaman technique. PM me if anybody wants the technique, it can be applied to most injuries.
