Hi everybody, I'm new here and I have a question. Abouth a month a got a cold and it still hasn't stopped. Every morning I wake up and my throat hurts and i cough(and sometimes I have headaches). I drink lot of tea but nothings happens. Also,I don't drink anything cold nor I eat any ice cream or anything that could cause my cold. I don't really know how I got sick but this happened to me before(on beggining of every summer I got sick). I could go to doctor but he would just tell me to rest and take some pills but I tried that and it didn't work.I wonder if somebody could help me and tell me how to get better?

..because if it hasn't stopped after a month that means something is wrong with your immune system. My brother had a constant cold for three months similar to yours and he has to take antibiotics now the whole time. I don't know what it is you might have but I think it would be most advisable for you to see a doctor immediatley to get it checked out.

Go to the doctor. There are no doctors on here.

I would not be that concerned, yep it is a sob of a flu and one that the side effects will linger, My daughter has been coughing up phlegm for 3 weeks and I think I am coming down with the same crap. Take some c&f tabs and deal with the crap. Thats about all I have to say

Talk to a doc. You could be developing allergies, a serious upper respiratory infection, or just have a really bad summer cold. Look in the book under "alternative medicine" if you really don't want to go to a doctor of western medicine.

You could have some type of infection, such as streptococcus, which could be serious.

Id get to the doc ASAP, have him test you for some stuff.

I'm not a Dr. (I don't even play one on TV) but it sounds like an infection! Colds are viruses and only last several days at best.

I have a devieted semptum I can't breath out of the left side of my nose. I often get sinus infections which if untreated can spread to the rest of the respotory system.

Fever Low grade) is a sure sign infection. Allergies are a also possibilty.

Get Well,
Steve

Echinacea, goldenseal, vitamin C, brown rice, miso soup, and pickled radishes.

Live on that for two weeks.

Sounds like an allergy instead of a cold.

Thanks for advices. I'll wait for few days and see what happens. If I don't get better I will go to doctor, maybe he will know what's wrong with me(I doubt because they always say that I'm alright and send me home).

I had a cold that didnt clear up. I dont know if you do any exercise but dont until you see a doctor. I got pericarditus the bacteria infected my heart and damaged it a bit. To put it bluntly and i dont mean to scare you but people in the army are forced to keep training everyday with a cold that doesnt go away and they die. Get some antibiotics dude.

I remember someone having similar symptoms to you.
At the end it came out that he had "Candida/Yeast infection."
Maybe your doctor can test you for that.

What's that? I hope it's not lethal.

Just go to the doctors.

Its well and good to try and diagonose someone from the other side of the world, but not really going to help you get better.

Go and ask a proffesional.

Some time passed since last reply and I just wanted to ''close'' the topic. I went to the doctor and she said that and don't have any cold or anything. It's probably an alergy but i still have to test myself for that. Anyway, it looks like it's finally passing(I was taking some pills for about 10 days).

The best way I stopped getting sick, was to stop eating any white sugar, and any processed white breads.

If it's seasonal allergies, you might try some olive leaf extract.

I get seasonal allergies, but theres also something at work, don't know if its dust, from the paper or the carpet, or maybe some of the cleaning fluids used but it can be annoying some days.

Your immune system is working pretty hard to fight that man. I agree if you get suspicious don't hesitate to see a doc if it was a doc that you don't trust get another one. Please do stick with like what aikiMac said; Echinacea, goldenseal, vitamin C, brown rice, miso soup, and pickled radishes.

But don't consume too much per day. Cuz too much can cause other problems. Maybe see a herbalist at a local food store to see how much is the recommended intake for severe colds.
