But my calfs r still hurting i take lots of baths and message my legs i eat well and sleep well i give tues training a miss this week so my legs could recover any ideas if my training is set up wrong or do you think i have just worked them to hard and they just need time to heal ?

Hi karhn.

PLease expand on the "weights comment". What do you do in this session?

I've put up with inexplicable calf pain for about 6 years now.
What sort of pain is it? (in the muscle? Ligament? Bone?. Where in the calf is it?)
I get pain in the lower section of the Soleus muscle, and of all the things I have tried to combat it, really serious flexibility training is the only thing that has made a dent on it. (Note: I suffered from shin splints and a complete snap of the fibula, so these things would most likely contribute to my pain, so really it depends on where/when/how you feel the pain to discern why.....)

its mainly in the tendon at the bottom and the big muscle at the top the gast..... <<< somthing begining like that lol the weights i stand up lift over head towards my back then up again 8 reps the biceps 8 reps still standing up and triceps the same, after each set of reps i do 3mins on the heavy bag mixing it up with kicks and punchs i was worryed about bulking up as i used to do abit of weight training but since i have been doing this i have got alot leaner :) but i was wondering if i should train for 2 days in a row then have 2 days rest instead wot do you guys think

Gastrocnemius ;)

You're not going to bulk up with that volume. Bulking=eating a lot. Hypertrophy is lifting within the set*rep range of 36-50. :)

Do you mean you do each thing for 1 set of 8 reps? Try something with a bit more volume. The guys on the H & F have more knowledge than me on this but I've picked some info up :D

By the sounds of this, it shouldn't affect your calves.

I felt like that once after Kickboxing in an HKD class.
