Collecting

Do you tend to favor collecting weapons or ways to use them?

I like to to learn katas more than to collect neat looking weapons I don't know how to use properly.

Both in a way for i got a 3 section staff a few years ago i didn't know which end to hold but one instructor i know can use it so we got together and now i'm o.k on them (apart from the bumps on my head)
