Maybe we could all realize that we study different flavors of the HKD brand yet still share the core similarities. I just want to discuss things without being disrespected and my knowledge underestimated. I know I am pretty new around here but I do try to make a positive presence when I am here. I also like the availibility of senior BB's(and all the colored belts, self included) for advice on situations you may have dealt with. HapKiDo is a happy place, to me.

I love the joint lock aspects of hapkido. Unfortunately, we have a few individuals who like to hide behind the anonymity of the internet to start arguments on the forums. We try to screen out those who cause trouble but sometimes a bad apple gets through.

I feel the exact same way with regards to TaeKwonDo :)

Are you talking about here while posting on MAP?

Yes.... I've noticed that while reading your posts.

Please do continue to do so. :)

Couldn't agree with you more.

Our organisation recently took another school under its wing who train in a different flavour of Hapkido. Just because it's different doesn't mean that it is any better or worse than ours but it is just that, different. What was great was that the two schools had a joint grading and they got to see our flavour of HKD and us theirs and whilst there were notable differences, the art was still essentially the same. Also the fact that at this club there seemed to be no egos and everyone was genuinely there to learn and enjoy Hapkido.
