I just got back from an attempted mugging.

I had just finished gym and was walking to my car, it was parked in the underground parking across the road.

I saw this junkie looking guy smoking a joint and as soon as he saw me he started yelling and coming at me swing his arms. I knew that he was going to try and smash me so as soon as he got near me I punched him, pushed him and hook kicked him into a car.

I then got in and gunned it home, I must of been doing double the speed limit the whole way back.

Its annoying because before this I was in a really good mood, now im pissed off. :bang:

Who else has even been jumped in a car park?

Sorry to hear, although I wouldn't define a one-on-one altercation as being jumped. Glad you're ok!

Glad you're OK dude. A friend and I got jumped in a car park once too, we didn't come off as well as you, partly due to them getting us from behind but it turned out OK (bet one of them still has a limp ;))

Good to hear that you are ok. I've been jumped while on my way home from MA before. It really sucks to haveto burn more energy when you're really drained.

Good the see that the moron got what he deserved.

Good job. Great to hear you got out of it ok.

Don't underestimate nutters. It may be easy to laugh at junkie-looking fellas, but a lot of those guys won't think twice about pulling a dirty needle on you.

Just get out of there in one piece. Save the shoulda/coulda/woulda's to the pub talk.

Shoulda/coulda/woulda talk is ok it's just venting and here with mates is as good a way of getting rid of it as any other. Glad your OK
Remember his life is it's own punishment - imagine you had such a sad little life you were reduced to trying to rob people in a car park and still got your arse tanned.

Yeh Im good man, cheers.

Im just in a really bad mood now.

You should be happy!

You handled yourself well and got out of a potentially very bad situation!

Plus you can't buy experience like this, well, not since that guy off the pink panther is getting too old for it!

I was in a bad mood for several reasons.

1. I just finished a great workout at the gym, i added some good poundage increases.

2. I had a great boxing spar with the instructor.

3. My gf was waiting at home for me.

After fighting it made me all angry and i couldnt enjoy the feeling of a great workout day and the euphoria followed by it.

It does put you in a bad mood. Doesn't help when you can't sleep at night running it over in your mind. I find it takes a week or so till you feel your normal self again. I always get the urge to go back and put my point accross more asertively! :woo:

I dont think there was anything else I could of done. I could of caused him more injury (ie stomped the crap out of him) or I could of gotten beaten myself.

Glad you are ok mate...you done the best thing...

Ah no broken neck then. Thats good.

For all the Criminal lovers: you should not have pushed or kicked him what if he fell into the car in the state he was in he could have cracked his skull on the pavment or worst still broken his kneck and then you would have been the topic of a forum and people would have been saying, BAD knightcommander dont be so hard on your attackers you might hurt them. The next time you push or kick somebody make sure you do it softly first then step up the damage slowerly to give them a chance and make sure that you give them a soft surface to land on incase they get seriously hurt. Or better still wrap you attacker in cotten wool and attack with pillow-jutzu.

Kightcommander i say again Mate glad you are OK well done.

Glad you're okay KC. Though I've never understood the logic of someone jumping someone coming out of an MA gym or wearing an MA uniform... I mean, there are plenty of ignorant people to pick a fight with, so why pick someone who so obviously knows something about how to kick butt?

NaughtyKnight
07-Jun-2005, 04:55 AM
Im laughing about it now. I needed to practise my spinning hook kick :D.

But i thought flashy kicks dont work.... ;) evidently they do.

Just glad you're allright mate ;) You acted really well!

And for the flashy kicks, yeah they do work, don't they :D

Well done mate, sounds like your training paid off and your instincts served you well.... kick his ass and get out of Dodge!

I'm not sure how I'd have reacted, such a pointless attack would have made me furious. Not sure if I could have stopped hitting him once I had the advantage. Hopefully that's something I'll learn as my training develops. Only had a couple of lessons so far, in fact I probably wouldn't have got the advantage in the first place!!

Glad you're ok, even if you're a Chelsea fan!!

NaughtyKnight

Guess Im the only Chelsea supporter on here.

08-Jun-2005, 02:31 AM
Haha.. nice. Getting attacked like that always puts you in a bad mood man, i know how it feels, but just remember your the one who beat his face in for trying to mug you, not the other way around, so just relax, you will cool down, and IF there is a next time that something like this happens, just remember how angry you are now, and...

Shadow_of_Evil
08-Jun-2005, 01:11 PM
Glad you're all good KC.

Yeah, I've been in a carpark fight before, but it went on way longer than yours did.
Bad memories...we won though.

13-Jun-2005, 12:51 PM
Well done, it sounds like you reacted in a good way to a difficult situation. Sure if you'd had time you might have jumped in your car off without throwing a punch - but it sounds like you didn't have time. I hope you didn't damage the car too much :)

As for all the people saying why attack a guy coming out of a MA Gym, bear in mind there are nutters out there who might want the kudos of going back to their junkie mates and saying , " I just nailed a karate expert!" I personally don't like to advertise the fact that I'm a MA, because I think it invites trouble more than wards it off. I could be wrong of course.

Good to hear you're okay !
