Emin Boztepe seminar in Dublin

Emin Boztepe is coming to Dublin, Ireland to give a seminar at Beneavin College, where I train. Its on the 24th June, starts at four I believe, and is 6 hours long. Can't wait, should be awesome! Hard to believe that I'll be training with such a legend just up the road from my house!

Ok maybe giving him legendary status was over the top, but he IS considered by many to be one of the best in the world.

WOW!

That seminar was brilliant! At first there was a 2 hour demonstration. In this he showed use the application of Wing Chun against various martial arts like Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai etc. He also showed us Wing Chun's ground work principals, in which he thrashed the myth that WC is useless on the ground (he was untouchable!) He also gave a short demo on knife attack/defence, and stick fighting with Escrima.

After the demo, we got ready for 4 hours of intense training! Class was divided up into advanced and beginners. The beginners basics were reinforced with stance and movement training, and Chi Sao for the others.

It was packed full of stuff! Anti-grappling moves, punching drills etc. etc.I could go on for ages!

It was brilliant! I cant wait for the next one! if you ever get a chance to go to one of Emin's seminars, GO! :D
