Anyone know of a hapkido club in or close to Reading, Berkshire
I have found clubs in Slough and Swindon via the forums but was wondering about anything closer. Also does anyone know the clubs in Slough/Swindon and can give me some feedback on them.
Many thanks

Hi
I train at the Swindon club and to be honest to really know what it's like as with most clubs you are best off coming down for a class as anything I say is bound to sound bias. As at the end of the day it's just a blast down the motorway.
What I can say is that while I'm no expert at ma, I have been doing it long enough (in fact since I was 10 yrs old and I'm now 30) to know a good club from a bad one and can say in my own honest opinion this is by far and away the best club I have trained at with top notch teaching. On top of that I am hooked totaly on the content and I'm not the most easy person to please when it comes to ma.
I would reccommend giving Mr Dyke an email via the website or through map, as he will be able to tell you far more about the club, style etc than I am able to.
Sorry, I can't comment on the Slough club as I have never trained there.
All the best, hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi I run the Hapkido school in SLough, although its not full time Hapkido its blended with Arnis which in my opinion was the missing part of the combat hapkido syllabus. If your still interested give me a shout.

Hi Darren,
I like your website.
Arnis was the missing part of Combat Hapkido?
I believe that GMP has been a friend to and a student of the Presas system for years.
The Current FMA expert in the ICHF is Master Julius Melegrito also of the Presas system.
If memory serves me,I also believe that Master Bram Franks was on Board as the edged weapons specialist of the ICHF in its earlier years?
I would not say that hapkido was missing anything, but I would say that FMAs, like Arnis ,do fit well with the study of Hapkido.
All the Best with your teachings,Mr Franks has a good system.
