i train in matsukazi shito ryu karate

Care to tell us what matsukazi shito ryu karate is? :)

I was wondering the very same..

I've done Shotakan got 1st kyu in that and I did Jijushinkai karate which was derived from Traditional Shukokai & freestyle karate so whilst it developed a good foundation due to the Traditional aspects it also allowed for my enjoyment of mixing it on the mats or in the ring. :p

Where does matsukazi shito ryu karate hail from? I see that it is Traditional base.

Hi Matt,

Ok bro, here are some questions for you...

1) what is your disability?

2) how does it affect your training?

3) do many other people with your disability train?

4) what made your choose the martial art that you did?

The reason I've asked all of these are that I have absolutely no clue about people with disabilities that train martial arts. :D - seems like a very positive and beneficial thing.

Yeah it's a good idea to keep safety in mind when training.
No sense in gettin hurt while your trying to have fun right.

As for sparring... you will want to talk with your instructor about that - he will know best how to work it into your training schedule.

Good luck and keep at it.

That's too bad, Matt. Some people are too empty inside to value kindness, but don't let it bother you. You are a good person for trying. Maybe it's too painful for her to talk to her husbands family.

Merry Christmas to you and your father.

Does your father do martial arts with you?
