I did a google search to look for haori but I just got like a thousand sites with really generic looking ones. The one I have now is cotton/polyester, I think, but I am wanting a new one.

I know this will probably sound stupid but what is a Haori? is it anything like a karate Gi (uniform if I didn't spell "gi" right).

It is like a Kimono thing that goes over the Gi and Hakama. There are Long styles and really short less dressy types.
