As we've got a guitar thread going seemed only appropriate to get a drum one as well.
My favourite's: Phil Collins 'In The Air Tonight'; live it's even better. Phil Collins again on Peter Gabriel's 'No Self Control'. Also DJ Fontana on Elvis' 'Hound Dog' and maybe the best of the lot the opening to 'Be My Baby' by the Ronettes and done by the most recorded musician of all-time Hal Blaine. Holds the record with 35,000 recordings :eek:

Not really a drum solo but the start to "you could be mine" from Guns n' Roses. Plus Matt Sorum's drum solo he does in the Use Your Illusions tour...
also Queen's "We will rock you" drumming is cool...

That's probably the best drum solo I've heard (By my Dad's fave band), but let's face it, drum solos are notoriously dull, aren't they :rolleyes:

Moby dick is very intense, but i prefer the one in Whole Lotta Love. But ....uhh, acctually, I like them both the same :o
