Not yet, I can't get to a shop until Wednesday :woo: I really liked The Fragile, but preferred The Downward Spiral

I'm not sure which of those I prefer. The Downward Spiral is more aggressive and edgy, but The Fragile is more emotional. It depends what mood I'm in. They are my two favourite NIN cds so far.

I like the new one, it grows on you. I must say the Downward Spiral is my fav, brilliant bad mood music. I recently saw the Broken short film, OMG ive not seen anything as dusturbing as the Happiness in Slavery video. Trent, your one sick puppy!

I like NIN, but I think Trent Reznor is overrated. I mean cmon, the guy started out in a hair band and then when he decided to go for the NIN Trent Reznor persona he had his sister go and buy up every album his previous band released so that it wouldn't leak out and hurt his rep. Weak.

people change. and even if he does it all for show, he's still one of the most amazing musicians of today IMHO

people jump on the genius bandwagon way too easily. If they hear somebody say he's a musical genius, they're sold.

I heard a lot about him before I heard NIN, so I bought a CD (And All That Could Have Been) to decide for myself, and I did decide for myself, further backed up by the other CDs, that he is a genius in my books. I only listen to music that I like, and I only like artists because I like their music, not because someone else does.

Unlike a hell of a lot of other people, I am quite capable of forming my own opinions.

If you compare him to anything in the charts at the moment, he is undoubtedly a genius. It really just comes down to personal taste.

Overrated?

Hardly.

Saw them live at the Astoria a month ago or so, it was a fantastic gig.

The new album is pretty good, it's a lot poppier than anything else he's done.
