It is indeed, and say thankya :D
It is "someone" standing in the field of roses that surround the tower.
I'm not saying who for fear of spoilers for those that have yet to complete the series :D

Mind telling me anyway who's in the field. I've tried to start the first book and I just can not get into it. SK just does nothing for me.

There won't be any more in the series - 7 is the full set.
However - MANY of his other books tie in to the Dark Tower series...
The Stand
IT
'Salem's Lot
Insomnia
... and many more.

HI
I read a SK book about 10 years plus ago but never finished it, i can't remember the title but it had a boy, weakling, son of a mighty king i think located in a castle, i cant remember if there was a strange coloured golden artifact in the shape of an eye or an i, the sons name was only 5 or 6 letters long, i wonder if its in the tower series?
any ideas, my girlfriend reads SK but shes not sure.

Sounds like The Talisman. Related to the Dark Tower series but not part of it.
His name was Jason.

The sequel to The Talisman is "Black House" and deals with what happens to Jack/Jason as an adult :D

How does it tie in with IT. (I've seen the film not read the book)
