Hello, I am in the long quest of trying to find a martial art. I found a couple of schools in my area and one "seems" to be a pretty decent place to train. Check out the link please. I know you really cant judge a school by its website, but you all know more about credentials than I do when it comes to MA, so your opinion matters to me. It has full contact videos of the instructor, not too shabby. Anyhow, give me some feedback ok. I can use all I can get..Thanks
Btw, the school teaches muay thai and hapkido mixed into one.

Since this is the Hapkido forum, I will give my opinion on the Hapkido portion.

Master Moayedi lists himself as a Hapkido 6th dan...as of 1995, certified by a GM In Suk Pak as is listed here (http://www.angelfire.com/ks/wmal/page30.html) who is a "12th dan in Tae Geuk-Do". GM In Suk Pak certified him as a 2nd dan in 1991 and a 4th dan in 1994... pretty quick promotions. I couldn't find much on the Hapkdio styles and haven't heard of the people involved.

To me, it looks more like an MMA school that is basing its curriculum on some various TMAs and the blending thereof. Based on my gut feeling, if you want to learn Hapkido, it might not be the best place. If you want to learn various arts and apply them in a competitve format (like MMA, it looks like a pretty good place for that.

My advice would be to go and check out a few lessons and ask some questions. Good luck!

Thanks Thomas , it sounds like you are right. I think I will give him a call to check the place out, it looks decent but I also need a place that wont break the bank.
