A) Shouldnt this be in Weapons?
B) Quite a few of us use more than one weapon, so shouldnt it be multiple choice?
Anyhoo, I own a Bo, nunchaku, sai, bokken and katana :)

I love big sticks :) I guess I should love swords cos they're shinier, but they aren't as convenient as sticks (which grow on trees, yes!).

As a student of Ninjutsu, we adapt to use any weapon presented to us at the time.
My personal favorite is the Kusari-Gama/Fundo, Hanbo, and Bo shuriken.
Sticks are always good and any old chain can be used for a Kusari-Fundo.
Remember kinds, weapons are dangerous and meant for hurting people, if you own a weapon I urge you not to go mad and hurt anyone thankyou. (Yes this is a joke so don't take it seriously...but don't hurt anyone either)

I voted that I own a Bo (or Bong in Korean). However, I also own 4 pairs of Jul Bong (nunchaku, 2 padded pairs and 2 rattan), a bokken and 2 sets of 3 Too Gum (throwing knives). I have actually studied under my instructor in the use of all of them except the bokken. That will happen once I get my BB (assuming testing goes well) this weekend.

Didn't see this before...
Well a couple of reasons...
•With just one, I have another hand free to use in whatever way I want
•I feel less constricted with just 1 - dunno why.

chinese broadsword, shinai, bokken, bo, yari ( homemade :p), knives, sticks.
Hmm, one of them is on the list; the Dao is the chinese broadsword.
Own currently:
Dao - northern and southern styles (overall very similar but there are some technical aspects in usage that apply)
waxwood chinese staff
Nine section whip (bian)
Europian Longsword and dagger (courtesy of starfire armory)
Colt Python .357 magnum, assorted shotguns and .22 caliber rifles and pistols.
Bo (hardwood staff)
nunchuka
Tonfa (love em)
Sai
Manrikiguasari
Shuriken (many different styles)
I have access to Katana's of various quality (from general practice to tamegishiri practice quality). Pu Dao, Kwan Dao, Wolfs Tail, Spears, Tiger Fork, Chinese halbard, Monk Spade, jian (straight sword), deerhorn knives, rope dart, three sectional staff, and many others in the training hall.
Would you like the "have owed" full list including military service? :D
P.S. Norm, I'm noticing a pattern in your sig; so its gold in 2006, right? ;)

I put bokken, i use it most
i use a purple heart wood bokken. i not only use fence technique but also staff.
i use what it is. a piece of long wood. in sparr i can switch, it is effective and it is what the weapon is.
it is not sword so no limited to just sword movement.
but i wish i can click more than one, i also like many other.

I'll list my favorites in ascending order:
Tonfas - Made from mystery wood, one handle is a tad loose.
Bokken x2 - Made from a mystery wood as well. They match. They're light weight compared to all other bokken I have held.
Bo - Again, the wood is a mystery to me. Most of my weapons are gifts from my dad. It has a constant thickness throughout its body as opposed to those toothpick bos.
Nunchucks - I own many. I'll list them in the order I recieved them.
-Pine - My second pair of nunchucks. My first was a cheep toy. This pair used to be a foam pair too, but later, after I recieved my 3rd pair, I replaced the handles with pine. 12"
-Foam - My 3rd pair. It's not really for use. The foam sleeves fly off if they are swung too fast and the nylon cord is worn. I keep it on my shelf as a momento to when I was less experienced. 12"
-Sparring - There is no solid back bone to this. It's just hard foam. It's extremely difficult to use and grip with speed, but it is pretty safe in sparring. It's the longest (14") and thickest pair I own.
-Aluminum - This was my favorite nunchuck. It actually just broke last night from too much use. 9.5"
-Mystery wood - I have no idea what wood it is. It's a heavier pair by comparison to most other nunchucks I've held, but I wouldn't actually call it heavy.

If you're going to ask for multiple responses (which weapons do you) on a poll, make sure you can choose more than one, or change it to weapon.
Since I can't accurately respond to the poll... I own a bamboo bo staff, have ordered a hardwood bo staff and tonfa. I've also ordered a bokken, because I need to learn how to use my katana.
I know how to use two of them... the bo and the tonfa. :o

I own:
-Jo
-a leightweight Bo sized staff which I 'found' at my highschool storage
-Bokken
-Shoto/Kodachi (wooden)
-Iaito (actually a decorative. 'T was made in japan and can cover for ANY real iaito)
-3 tanto's (cold steel master tanto, CS magnum tanto 12" and a Haller CS imitation tanto)
-one cheap decorative wakazashi, wich I have hand shaperned at the tip.
-lotsa other knives :)
-The leg of a high school table. Also 'found' at the storage room. It's not really an MA weapon, but the metal sure packs a heavy punch. As replacement of a decent baseball bat/club.

I have never learned to use it yet, but the BO intrests me more than anything else. Its not sharp. (MADE FOR PROTECTION, NOT KILLING.) You can train with a BO withought having to use a fake. (WHICH MEANS YOU CAN PRACTICE WITH THE REAL THING, WHICH MAKES OR MORE EXPERIANCE.) And mostly. I just have a habbit of getting like a rake handle and just spinning it around. So I figured this weapon was for me. There are no places around here that teach weapons. So I will have to teach myself.

Only being able to pick one from the list {has anyone mentioned this yet :p?} I selected Katana tho' I train just as often with bokken (doing tachi waza with live blades is somewhat frowned upon in these enlightened health & safety days :D).
From a quick mental tally, I have three bokken, six katana, three wakizashi and three tanto plus a number of decoratives that don't really count (altho' one is a copy of Arwen's sword from LOTR, which is very nicely made).

I have numerous bokken and suburito, as well as my favorite baby, my iaito. I own nunchaku, but can't use them for squat. As for staffs (or is it staves?), I have a jo, a hanbo, and a tanbo. The tanbo may be little, but personally, it's the single most effective self-defense tool I own, with the possible exception of the 30 30 carbine I keep for home defense.

I have a good katana set, some chackos, various hunting and butterfly knives, a kukri, a CZ 75 9mm, a Ruger SP101 .357 magnum revolver, and a mossberg 500 pump. I'm not an NRA member or anything like that. Nor a hunter, but, to my mind, few things are as purely entertaining as shooting things. I would certainly recommend it to anyone with any interest in weapons training.

One katana, one cavalry sabre, two fencing sabres, three foils, bo, three section staff, nine section chain whip (somewhat padded until I feel sure I'm not going to wrap it round my head three or four times in the process of using it), fan, 2 dao (one good solid carbon steel, one with a bit more flex), and one beautiful carbon steel jian, the qingping form for which works beautifully for foil and epee fencing too.
Oh yes, and a pistol crossbow (gathering much dust atm), and a rather nice old recurved hunting bow. Plus various assorted hunting and fishing knives for camping etc.

I use the bokken the most but I also use the sai, bo, throwing stars (shuriken), 36" chain (kusari-fundo), hanbo (3' stick) and wakizashi.
Later on I'm going to learn how to use a katana. (Have cut with one before and it was SO amazing.) Escrima, kama, tonfa, shoge (dagger and chain), fan and a few others. Not sure if I'll be totally interested in them but I'm keeping the katana among my favorites. :D
