For some reason, it's been feeling **** for about a week. This can't be normal. We're talking intense bouts of pain in the lower abdomen. This might make me a bit short tempered, so watch out. I find this particularly humbling because I can't run or shadowbox or do situps...

That happened to me too, I ended up getting my appendix removed. If it is in the lower right it is appendix I think.

I don't think it's that. It attacks in different places, damn it.

So THAT's why you're short tempered :D
Seriously, go consult a doctor about it. You may have gotten some internal damage in training you don't know about.

Does it happen after you drink/eat dairy products??? Are there any certain foods you are eating when this occurs?

Maybe, I haven't really been paying attention. Just my normal diet.

Oh I had stomach problems a second time and found out I was lactose intolerant. Like Adam said, seeing a doctor would be your best choice if it doesn't get better really soon, it could be something more serious than you think.

well, you might not want to know about this end of things, but the diarhoea's gone, so I'll wait a few days to see if it goes away.

That happens to me after I have milk, ice cream, cheese, etc.

would making myself vomit work? In all seriousness.
Adam

Hardly.

I wouldn't try it. It is bad for your teeth and throat, the stomach acids are.

Try eating Pepto Bismal and soda crackers.

Nope. Vomitting didn't work. What doesn't kill you...

...can end up hurting you.

I tried administering 3.5 pints of cold water directly to my gut. Bizarrely, I feel a bit better now.

Perhaps instead of random things such as vomiting and 3.5 pints of water (you'll kill yourself man - you'll upset the gradient and your cells will go kaboom) - go see a doctor!
It probably won't take that long, and if nothing is wrong then it won't be a waste of time because at least your mind will be at peace. You'll also know exactly what to do. If it is something serious, you'll be glad you ended up in the doctors office sooner rather than later as well...
Doctor!

if you're still not at the doctor you can try a little standing YiQuan, I haven't used it much on my stomach but it's done wonders for my back!!
here's a stomach one, wish I could give you pictures:
Start with your feet shoulder width apart, pelvis and tailbone tucked forward so the spine is straight...
left arm rests on the side but so not to touch the body and the palm faces the ground with the fingers open and pointing forward
the important part:
get into a natural breath, nothing forced, just let the body take in the air and then release it as normal...
after five breaths or so when you're ready exhale, then when you inhale take your right hand and push your stomach in, like when you suck in your gut to impress a gril. Spread your right hand over as much of your stomach as you can, kind of rubbing your intestines and the part that hurts....
do that inhale method only about 5 times. This is called reverse breathing and I'm told you don't want to just sit their and try it all day or you feel worse. So stick to five breaths maybe only twice or three times a day...
hope it works.. if not... for sake, go see the Doctor!! :D

i'm trying it!
It can't be that bad, cos you'd go to the doctor if it was... thats always my point of view when people are willing to throw up or drink 3 and a half pints of water rather than get checked out. If you do have something wrong with you, early treatment will only help.
Try and avoid acidic and fatty foods in the meantime, they can cause bowel/stomach upsets.

Like I said earlier, pay attention to what you eat prior to feeling pain.

Maybe you've got too much stomach acid. Are you too stressed lately?

OK. It's good now and I'm back in training. Thanks for your indulgence...
