Nah -word has it that one of Harry's friends dies. Ron & Hermione are due a hot romance so that leaves poor old Hagrid to get the chop :(

morphus

I knew Ron & Hermione would get it on. I hope they don't do it on screen .......nothing worse than seeing two teenagers trying to eat each others face(i remember doing that):D

Somebody's going to get killed in the next book? God, I hope it's that Dobby.
(It must have been intentional to make him look like Vladimir Putin in the film)

I think it's Dumbledore that's gonna go though.

Maybe you should put up a poll and take bets. :D

morphus

or maybe later - Ginny!

His best mates sister , now theres a plot for a book(or at least an article for chat magazine) all on its own .........i can see them on Jerry Springer now.:D LOL

I forgot about Dobby.....give me gun & i'll do him!

P.S. Don't bother with the rest of the 'maddox' site. It's funny for a while but the guy is a complete tosser...

Ron and Hermione having a romance? How closely were you reading the 4th book. In case you hadn't noticed, Hermione has the hots for Viktor Krum.

As for the death, I think it will be Hagrid, but I hope not. Would be good if it was Snape or Malfoy, but that's not going to happen. Besides, Malfoy provides a lot of the humour.

J.K. Rowling has released two paragraphs from book 5. One goes like this:

"It is time for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything..."

Now go back to book one, pg 216:

Harry nodded, but stopped quickly because it mad his head hurt. Then he said, "Sir, there are some other things I'd like to know, if you can tell me ... things I want to know the truth about..."

"The truth." Dumbledore sighed. "It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and therefore should be treated with great caution. However, I shall answer your questions unless I have a very good reason not to, in whick case I beg you will forgive me. I shall not, of course, lie."

"Well ... Voldermort said that he only killed my mother because whe tried to stop him killing me. But why would he want to kill me in the first place?"

Dumbledore sighed deeply this time.

"Alas, the first thing you ask me, I cannot tell you. Not today. Not now. You will know, one day ... put it from your mid for now Harry. When you are older ... I know you hate to hear this ... when you are ready you will know"

See the connection?

Add this to pages 186 to 189, (the encounter with the centaurs in the forbidden forest) and you will see that Voldermort trying to kill Harry is no co-incidence, and it is my bet that Harry is destined to do something important, and that this frightenes Voldermort.

I also find it amazing that Rowling has put hints into books this early, that wouldn't mean anything until you'd read the 5th book, or at least the spoilers :)

I know I'm just asking for commenst about the number of times I've read the books, but I thought some of you might find my discovery interesting. I certainly did :)

I'm pretty certain that Lord Voldemort is related to Harry *gasp*
There could be another one of those "Join me, I am your FATHER!" moments.

Sure she does. But I still stay her and Ron will get it on :D

I'm betting 100 to 1 that Yoda's right.

I like the prospect of Harry going through puberty, although many adolescent activities might not be ideally suited for childrens books. :D

Just read the new one. Not all that good I thought. Is it just me, or is Harry getting more and more disrespectful and unlikeable with every book? Must be those hormones controlling his life.

aye. Looking forward to the chapters 'Harry masturbates for the first time', 'Harry checks out Hermione's butt', 'Harry smokes his first joint' etc etc

Read it the same day it came out, me lovely fiancee was kind enough to order it from Amazon, and then be out for the day. I liked it, personally I prefer the angrier Harry, if he'd stayed calm as he was in the earlier books then he couldn't have seemed human.

That was a great book - the first 500 pages were the best, it kind of went downhill the rest of the book. I'm not sure I like an angrier Harry - I don't mind until he freaks out at Ron and Hermione.

Bits of the plot edited out by YODA.

For the record, I wasn't inteding to suggest that the character in question would pick up the things in question and use them. I'm not actually that sick. I was merely trying to imply that the other character in question was... not as other wizards are...

Adam

I have read it. Didn't think it was very good or witty, very much mcdonalds humour with rather obvious parodies and jokes. Get Bored of The Rings instead, which is a brilliant parody on LOTR.

Knight_Errant

I agree- it could have been done just so well, given the vast wealth of material on offer, but the dosser who wrote it just couldn't be bothered. Oh well, what can you do? :)

I bought and read the first four HP books one after the other and got the new one from the library on the day it came out. Pay hardback prices? I think not!

Thought it was rubbish and gave up after 100 pages.
