hi all
i am new to this forum and i am a mate of liquids
i also have just taken up kickboxing and am learning to do the splits so any advice from you will be appreciated thanks.

I'm partial to banan ones myself.
Seriously, I've been able to do full frontal splits and almost full side splits. The secret: PAINNN!
Just do a lot of splits and push yourself a little further every time you do them. It's supposed to hurt. I was able to tuch my knees with my forehead after two months following this procedure.

also, I feel general stretching is probably useful-Hamstrings & glutteals.

Yeah I agree with Yoda, you should feel a bit of discomfort but if you really have to force yourself just to do it for a few seconds then it's going too far. Stretching helps though just because if you're flexible it makes it much easier for your muscles to kick your leg out effectively, more efficiency in your kicks.
