Hello everyone,
having studied Ninjutsu in Australia I found it very difficult indeed to find anyone that knew anything about it. I am interested in getting in contact with anyone that knows or is a member of the Ninjutsu Federation Of Australia

First of all
Bujinkan isn't the only True Ninpo. Genbukan and Jinenkan are also true ninpo.
Second Ninjukai has a usual history, you right its not a true ninjutsu, but its a psuedo-ninja art with an unproven history.
Why are you guys bringing politics to this forum? You're giving us Ozzies a bad name.

while where at it im sure you have herd of another australian "NINJA" art called KUMI ryu ninjitsu these guys where around in the late 80's and early 90's taking full advantage of the ninja boom....

First of all I have learned this, You Bujinkan guys in this forum HATE Genbukan, I am sorry. If is wasn't for my expirence in training in Bujinkan this summer, I would figure all Bujinkan hate Genbukan.
Second, I am not in love with ninjukai, all I am saying this that they have an unproven history, but no one has disproved it.
third, why are you attacking the character of Mr. John Ang. It has no effect on the legimatacy of his art.
Actually from what I've seen of Ninjukai and the replies to the person on this forum to studies it. It looks like a solid self-denese and survival art.
Why are you soo angry moromoro?

A little clarification xplasma, not all Bujinkan guys hate the Genbukan or Jinenkan. I for one have no opinion of either other than, if it works for you, great. Just as the Bujinkan works for me and I can't imagine training in any other art, so might the G-kan and J-kan work for others. I'm cool with that. As for other people slagging off on you, best defense is to ignore them. If they have a rant, let them vent. Don't encourage them, eventually they'll give up and go away.

Well, there you have it. Bujinkan dojos in Australia. Hopefully that suits your needs moreso than the "NFoA" would. The name itself even raises a red flag to me. I'd stick with the Bujinkan if possible.

moromoro,
All I am saying is to chill and not jump to conclusions.
For example, I been training in Bujinkan this summer becuase I moved to Maryland and couldn't find a Genbukan Dojo within 30 minutes of me. However, yesterday I did find adojo claiming to teach Happo - Taijutsu and other Ninpo- Ryus. So instead of going "Its a fake" I called them up. Turns out they are a Genbukan Dojo that removed the Genbukan Name due to local area politics. However, the point is that I gave them a chance and now I have a place to train in Genbukan.
So don't judge other ninpo/ninjutsu until you find out they are really a fake. Unless you one of those Bujinkans on the board like SilentNightfall who hate us Genbukans and all ninpo that isn't Bujinkan.

You should watch the assumptions you make, Plasma. I have never said that I "hate all Genbukan members" as you claim I have. My displeasure is with the head of the organization, which would be Tanemura himself. Now, it's my understanding that after so long a student will begin getting their information and essential training from the head of their respective organization. I do not believe in people training with Mr. Tanemura because of his overly aggressive attitude and disposition. I've seen tapes of his demonstrations and heard the story of a Japanese shihan that went to train with him. Because of these things it is my belief that Tanemura has too much anger withheld and concerns himself too much with politics when he purposely injures a Bujinkan practitioner that has gone to train with him.

You know I heard stories about Tanemura Sensei as well. I have heard them form of my Sensei's in New York who is a 4th Dan and holds the Samurai Rank of Renshi. He goes to japan twice a year I train with Tanemura Sensei and is considered a friend. However, the stories I hear is of a great man of character.
My sensei is one of the most caring, knowlegdable, and least aggressive teacher I have ever meet. He used to think martial arts was all about the battle however, after meetting Tanemura Sensei he realized Ninpo as a way of life.
My sensei always said that a student is a reflextion of the techer. After metting many members of Genbukan Ninpo Bugei, I will have to said. Tanemura Sensei must be a great man, and I hope to go to Japan and meet him someday.

Well then, we have heard differing stories. One of mine involves Tanemura purposely performing a double omote on the wrist of a Japanese shihan from the Bujinkan in order to shatter it. Not too honorable considering the man let Tanemura demonstrate on him and put his trust in him. Oh well... I suppose just as I am a "Genbukan hater" so is Tanemura a "Bujinkan hater." Still doesn't explain the other story, but that one always gets refuted and pounded into the ground so I won't post it publicly. It does, however, involve one of Tanemura's own students and was caught on videotape. Because I do not know the student's name and such the argument is always pushed aside and so for the sake of time and space, let's just drop the debate on Tanemura. He is none of my concern. Back to training.
