As abs, and to an extent other things, are built in the kitchen not in the gym, maybe it's time to have a thread on all our favourite killer munchies.

Inventive way to eat eggs.
Scrambled eggs with pepper and sage, salad, corned beef, granary bread and butter, orange juice, coffee, milk.

Man, i'm wasting my life, I should be a ****ing chef!

corned beef? You gotta be kidding me, that stuff's only just above Spam in its crappy-ness. Eggs are high in cholesterol, you gotta watch you don't eat to many.

I eat of lot of porridge, or oatmeal, whatever you call it. Its nice for breakfast with a little bit of honey :)

If I could stomach egg whites, I'd eat 'em. The only really healthy snacky thing I like is beef jerky, though, and it's expensive. D'oh. I eat cereal & milk a lot, too, but that's only kinda healthy, good protein and vitamins, bu a lot of sugar in both the milk and the cereal.

I like the cheap packets of instant noodles (not that supernoodle S**T) add some fish sauce, soy sauce, chilli, onions, mushrooms and poach an egg in it. Fantastic late night drunken meal.

Nah, usually I subsist on lentils etc... Pasta lunches are good, I think, and stir fries. Nice and light.

Ever tried egg and tuna sandwich? Egg and tuna are an excellent combo with salad, pasta, etc. And all that protein.

From someone who actually speaks that like, I resent the term yokel! ;)

Why don't we start a thread for people to post food that they make thats good for martial artists? Like a recipe thread?

morphus

I like that idea - a recipe thread!

I can't cook for my life, so it may help :)

So, KY, You know how to make porridge?
Lentil casserole?
meat dishes?
Cooking is one of my favourite things...

Saz
10-Jun-2003, 01:26 PM
Porridge is easy peasy, add milk, honey and stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes :) Then mop up the mess from the inside of the microwave.

I should be able to cook, I used to be a caterer! Something just goes horribly wrong between me getting the ingredients out and serving them up. In my defence, I can make a wicked cheesecake though :D

Knight_Errant

Loads of people have this problem. It's to do with logistics. Cheesecake? my favourite! Another way to make porridge is to add boiling water or milk to porridge oats, stir it round an' add honey. Fastest porridge in the west (of wales). Shall I post the recipe for lentil casserole? would people like that?

Saz

Don't do lentils, it may come in handy though, as my best mate's a veggie. She's a sensible one mind you, and tends to run away from anything I make.

I've made a post in suggestions asking for a reciepe thread, see how that goes
