I can easily search Google for Krav Maga information but would love to hear from anyone who actually does this self defence system. Now that they are putting in an appearance at the MAP Meet - South of England it might be an expediant time to pass on your experiences and information.
Here's hoping!

I studied Krav Maga for roughly a year or so. A truly adaptable system, Krav Maga uses what you know and applies it in various situations. Basic techniques are stressed, no kicks go above the waist, and single strikes are outlawed.
Krav Maga stresses the abundant use of "Combatives", or a flurry of strikes thrown with intensity. Many techniques will run along the lines of, "As the attacker grabs you, perform this, then explode with combatives". For those of us with Traditional Karate experience, throwing a flurry of strikes is odd and new.
Pros: Purely adult training, complete practicality, multiple scenario drills, and contact sparring.
Cons: Usually expensive, no tradition, very limited grappling (limited to escape and evasion), and hard to find.
May you achieve

I'm lucky enough to be getting the opportunity to give Krav Maga a try. Living in Scotland gives very limited accessibility to KM Instructors and so our Kickboxing club has organised a 2-day course in Dunfermline, Scotland.

We are restricting the course to a maximum of 30 persons and are looking to fill the last 10 places if anyone would like to attend please get in touch.

Hiya Craig
Thanks for telling us about this event but we do have an Events section you can post this in and also a calendar. It would get better coverage placed in there - we do not encourage advertising elsewhere on the forum - sorry!

My apologies, it just seemed relevant to your post. I will add a post on the relevant forum.
Craig.
