Top 11:
Disney’s “The Jungle Book” (it’s been my favorite since I was a kid)
CTHD
Star Wars (the 1976 version, not the crappy re-release)
Rocky I
Empire Strikes Back (original version again)
Amadeus
Henry V (with Kenneth Branaugh)
Sense & Sensibility
Forrest Gump
LOTR Fellowship of the Rings
Dead Man Walking

"Silver Streak" is a good call, White Wizard. I'd forgotten about that one.

I'll add a new category -- "Best fights"

Best weapon-to-weapon fight:
1) when Michelle Yeoh pitted just about every weapon against Zhang Ziyi’s sword in “CTHD”
2) an old “Zorro” movie wherein they were *really* trying to kill each other. I swear they were trying to kill each other. Unfortunately I don’t recall which actor played Zorro in this version, or the date of the movie.
3) the one-against-five arena fight in “Gladiator” (all 15 seconds of it)

Best hand-to-hand fight:
Jet Li versus his movie father-in-law in “Fist of Fury.” There is no argument to the contrary. I can’t think of anything that comes close.

Best Punch: Brad Pitt in Snatch, his very first punch in the film

Adam
13-Jun-2003, 10:18 AM
Very nice film :D
It was fun seing sex-symbol Brad Pitt as tattooed, incomprehensive gypsy boxer.

Spike
14-Jun-2003, 02:48 PM
The reason he looks and acts like that is, apparently, Guy Richie realised he had one of the biggest sex-symbols in the world, so he wanted to make him as ugly as possible!

Go`on Guy!

Jack
28-Jul-2003, 09:42 AM
Snatch
Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Goodfellas
Shawshank Redemption
Deerhunter
Pulp Fiction
Resevoir Dogs
The Crow
Fight Club
Enter the Dragon

I'm sure if I could have more than ten, a lot of the Jay and Silent Bob films would fit in there, too. :D
