Nobody? cmon,
Pro-box? Title? Golds gym?
What tends to be better quality wise, and what tends to be on the cheapy side. Some of you gotta know.

Ringside has great equipment, but I am unsure if they have a supplier in the UK. You could order from them, but will be charged shipping duty etc.

Lonsdale is mainly cheap clothing now, you probably notice how many people you see wearing lonsdale tops (often grossly overweight who look like they dont even run up the stairs never mind box), its because you can by them in TK-Max for tuppence. As for Everlast, the American stuff is exellent, however, the UK stuff isnt the same gear. Its made under licence, and the quality is way below the American gear, and that is really hard to buy in the UK. As a boxing manufactuer in the UK, Title is good stuff. Also check out the Thai Brands such as Twins and Fairtex which are both excellent quality too, as they are used accross the hundreds of thai boxing camps in thailand, so it has to be built to last.

Thanks adsy, youve pretty much summed up everything i needed to know.
Although i thought lonsdale was good quality. I have some lonsdale wraps and little bits and bobs and they all seem to be of better quality than other generic makes etc.
Pro-Box any good? i like them, just wondering what other people thought of them.

They have a Pro box heavy bag in the Next Generation Gym i'm a member of. The bag is really good, but the bag mitts which are scattered around the floor for general use, dont seem to stand up to any punishment at all. There isnt that many people who use the heavy bag and most that do arnt even throwing proper punches, and they replaced the mitts not that long ago, but i cant even use them now, as all the foam is out of shape and there is no protection at all, so i take my own. The bag is good though, its all leather though so probably not cheap. But you get what you pay for i suppose.

I'd have to second that one as well; excellent quality, tough and built to last. I've been using my fairtext boxing gloves for sometime now and they're still standing strong.

Problem is is finding a supplier for twins or fairtex to the UK. Im just basically looking for a pair to get from my sports shop, who dont have a bad range really. Pro-box, title, golds gym, BBE Which one would you recommend?
I can try them on and stuff then, instead of having unnecessary surprises over the net.
Thinking about the Title, what ya reckon?

Al's gym (http://www.mightyoak.co.uk/alsgym/Shop/GlovesF.htm#sparring) sell Twins gloves; they're expensive, but they're built to last.

I hate Blitz, they may be cheap, but theres nothing cheerful about them.

I've used the Blitz boxing gloves before and had no problems with them! They certainly aren't the worst gloves ive ever used before...
