I would think there isn't any or maybe the weight as the pro gloves obviously being heavier than the amateur gloves.

Well, for some reason, the fist of the amateur gloves is always white, and theres something about how the foam is layered. Thats all I know, I was just wondering what that all means...

Ah, the white bit is to show the area where the fighters use to hit. Also a little easier for the judges to see an amatuer's punches as to where they are going.
Points dont count if they hit using any area that is outside of the white area. Thats about it, standard is 10-12oz I think.

yeah, the white thumb/palm stops fighters from developing a slapping habit. 'Slaps' in this sense is any punch which doesnt land on the knuckle part of the glove. 'Slap' type punches allow fighters to throw weak punches from long distances that arc round like a hook and are very difficult to defend against. Their considered illegal because their fast and long, but essentially ineffectual, and stepping up into the pro ranks with a slapping style will see u get kfto.
