Ok, I'm a 17 year old male, I've been doing Tae Kwon Do for 8 years, I'm also into kickboxing. Both these martial arts are just about strikes, not a lot of holds, joint manipulation, that kind of thing. I want tomove on to something different, something that isnt just about strikes. I tried Judo for about a year but it wasnt what I was looking for. Got any suggestions?

Check out a style such as Eagle Claw kung Fu.
This contains a huge amount of seizing & locking (Kum/Chin Na) tehcniques.

If there is a good JKD instructor near you then that would be definitly worth considering. However, you might also look at Ju-Jitsu as this deals specifically with the holds and locks you wish to learn. I did Ju-Jitsu for around 9 months after TKD / Kung Fu and found it really enjoyable. A lot more dealing with real situations, such as dealing with knife attacks (run away is my preferred option). I gave it up to concentrate on drinking and women.

Seeing as your already doing TKD Hapkido might be an option.
Aikido or Japanese Jujitsu for a more "stay on your feet" approach
Brazilian Jujitsu or shootfighting (or shootwrestling/shooto/pancrase/whatever they want to call it) for a more "Take it to the ground" approach
Okinawan karate schools often do a fair amount of locks and throws to.
There are a lot of arts that do grappling with very different approachs, all you've specified is "not Judo" can you go a little more into what you are looking for?

umm, no I dont think I'm gonna be doing that. Anyways I started taking JKD now. I like it so far, I think I'm gonna stick with it.
Shooto,Sanda,Vale Tudo,Prancase,MMA
all of the above use and allow wrestling/groundfrighting/grappling with the more traditional stand up tactics.in general they are full contact. And have heavy pyshical conditioning routines.and you can still attend the comp circuit that envoles around them.
get out there and check them out
good luck

Burple,
It all depends on what is available around your area and what your preferences are. It's best to try a few classes to see what you like before settling on one (and buying the suits, paying membership etc).
I've done Korean, Chinese and Japanese arts and they all have differences, but none is any 'better' than any other. It all depends on finding a good instructor.

Good luck in what ever you find (and your training in JKD STASH)my advice would be try as many clubs as you can and stick with the ones you like i will not say what ones to try for every one has given all the answers you can ever hope for.... so good luck

I agree with the Hapkido suggestion, as well as the others. Kuk Sool Won and Hwa Rang Do may also be something to look at since you have been involved in Korean arts mostly. Also if there is a Bujinkan instructor near you I would suggest speaking with them.

You know all jokes aside, try changing your outlook on your style. If you like it, why not add to it. Hit up on some of the seminars by different instructors and styles close to your area. Try calling some of the more established schools in your area and see what's coming up. Even if it's a weapons seminar you might be surprised how similar the movements may be or use the info in one and three step combinations.
Or perhaps you feel you are where you will always be in your school.? Life? Change your habits just alittle. Instead of always going the same way or doing strikes on Tuesday, try a different road or do strikes on Friday. It may be you're getting a little burned out on your routine. If you practice in calm, try addding some music or, if you practice at full speed try doing your forms in slo-mo. Good luck :)
